This is my first time having a character that is over level 150, and can no longer do high TI gramps.  I'm trying to figure out where I should start leveling now.

I assumed I would be going to Bio4, but it seems like I would need to get to level 160 first before I can get invited to a party.  Where should I solo myself to level 160?  Or are there parties for 150-165 at the Biolabs?

When I do start leveling in Bio, what should I use for cannon balls?  All the monsters seem to be a hopeless mix when it comes to elemental damage.  It doesn't even look like I can rely on neutral Iron Balls.

For the past 5 levels I have been soloing High TI with my lvl 136 Sera (Amistr) homunculus.  Having Pain Killer has been a huge help for soloing the TI quest.  My Sera is a great tank as well, so I'm not having to revive it constantly.  Since I can use Pain Killer on other players, will this help me get into parties?

Thanks for the help  :no1:

nct should be good for solo like ^ said, especially with PK. exp per kill should be around 100-200k from my experience (vip+bmx3+spotlight/exp mod) and the BB gives around 18m?? exp per big bell turn in.

for bio4, you can get into parties since usually its not even because the exp mainly comes from BB, so vip is almost a must to get the 160m?? full exp per turn in

bio4, my suggestion is soul cannon balls for celia and iron for others, but this is if you can tank celia's skills (fireball, thunderstorm, frost diver, cold/fire bolt, heavens drive, earth spike) some of those will be blocked by magnetic earth. so you need a good elemental reduction. i wear a wind unfro and leib olmai top and mid, i switched from v shield to mad bunny for dmg, but the v shield should help you tank. i deal around 40-100k per CC on celia depending on buffs thats why i attack her. dont do it if you cant take the exp loss.

focus on randel bombing. +9 kvm mace should let you deal close to 300k per bomb, or any weap you can find i guess(i used an ea enchanted erde w/ 2as before the kvm and it deals around 150m per bomb). and then just bomb everything aside from celia if you want. just always target randel first. turning on effects can save you bombs if you can handle the lag since pneuma is there. i see a lot of people waste supplies and sp from targetting chen in pneuma.

and your homun might be a nuisance or tank depending on your view. the thing is, after every g wing, the homun will always be attacked by mobs. PK wont help the party much since the dmg there is ridiculous. since you always have to resurrect it, you might be the other first target per g wing since you might be casting once you fly, and then you will die fast.

btw, i use pyroclastic so my dmg might be based off of that, so your dmg will be different based on those. test it out first on a party and see what you want. i tried nct myself but i cant take the dmg even if kiting them so i stayed in bio4. but you have PK so you might be better in nct than bio4. try out each area and then go to the better one.

Thanks for the info.  I've been trying out Nightmare clock tower for now.  Its going decently well.  Pain Killer really helps for the damage, and with a Medium Life Potion active, I can tank most mobs without even using my slim whites.

Bio4 seems a bit... overwhelming for now.  I don't want to be the guy holding the party down or not contributing enough.  I think I will try to get to 160+ by soloing then try my luck at a bio party.

When I was leveling my 150+ gene, basically all I did was the Scarabs bounty board as grinding, maybe 1-2 runs of bio4. FYI, if you have a +9 glorious, please just use dark balls and CC randel (if your party has 2 RKs at least). It's wayy cheaper and better DPS, not to mention aoe as well.

Back to the question of leveling. I'll say just keep doing instances and killing MVPs, you'll level in no time at all. Pretty much both my genes got maxed from ET/OGH.

P.S. Dont be afraid to join bio parties. Make sure to know your role which is to FCP (when asked) and to kill randels.

Right now I am pretty conformable doing the Big Bell Bounty Board in Nightmare Clocktower.  Pain killer makes it so I take 1k damage or less from their hits.  My big need for improvement is the damage I'm doing.  I only hit 15k-18k per CC.  I would really like to see this in the 25k-30k range.

Most of my enchanted gear is geared for cast reduction.  This includes -30% FAW and -30% RWC Pendants, but I also use an Orlean's Gown for my armor that adds +15% to my cast time.  To increase attack damage I have a +9 EMH, Polution Sunglasses, and Gangster Scarf.

For a weapon I have a +12 Triple Kingbird Red Twin Edge.  With the current sale on HD Bradium, I'm wondering if I should try to get my weapon to +14 or +15.  Could this potentially increase my attack damage to 25k or higher?

These are my stats (excluding Eden stat buff):

Str:  99+7                   Int: 100+10

Agi: 1+3                     Dex: 112+5

Vit:  86+4                   Luk: 14+3

Any recommendations?

I'm probably a newb for asking, but what do you mean by a "+9 glorious"?  Also, will every member of the party want a FCP in bio4?

Thanks for your response.  I will look into the Scarabs bounty.

KVM

Could you elaborate a little more?  Do you mean that you would recommend using the KVM Mace for leveling in Nightmare Clocktower?

I made two posts back to back.  I didn't know what post you were referring to since your post included no context.  For people like myself, who are not 100% on top of all the acronyms and other short-hand ways of saying this, simply saying "KVM" isn't very helpful.

After doing a bit more digging I see that "+9 Glorious" and "KVM" = "The Glorious Morning Star is the weapon obtained from KVM points earned through the Battle Grounds and is the best weapon for using Cart Cannon against Randell in Bio4."

I haven't calculated it, but I doubt a couple upgrades will lead to a 10k damage increase. Note that even with the recent refine event (not available at the moment), some people took over 1000 HD Bradiums to reach +14 on a level 4 weapon.

You can get rid of the cast reduction items and go for ATK and Ranged ATK increasing items.  For instance, you should get a Expert Archer enchanted FAW instead.  Note that if your total DEX*2 + INT is 530 or more, you would have instant cast cart cannon without any cast reduction gears and even wearing Orleans's Gown won't affect the cast time.  If you have some zeny to spend, make sure to use DEX+20 and INT+20 foods (assumes you are using STR+20, LUK+20, and Takoyaki foods already) to help with both more damage from more INT and better cast time.  You can also get Blessing scrolls from the Kafra Shop for that extra 10 DEX/INT as well (and/or alt a priest outside Clock Tower to at least get Bless every time you go back to town).

What food items give +20 stats?  I was only aware of the Kafra Shop food that gives +10 stats and the Eden Stat Buffer that gives +7.

How are people getting multiple +15 Crimson Weapons and vending them if it can take upwards of 1000 HD Bradiums to get a +14 weapon?

Most of those +14 and +15 you see vending were from a recent refine event that increased the rates for over +10 upgrades; that event is not available right now though I am guessing it will come back some day.  Also, Crimson Weapons are Level 3 weapons so they are also easier to upgrade than RTE which is a Level 4 weapon.

For reference:

Normal Rates (currently): https://forums.warpp...2016/?p=2502065
Event Rates (not available now): https://forums.warpp...2016/?p=2502070

+20 foods stack with +10 ones while +10 ones override Eden buffs.  The +20 foods are actually made by Genetics though you would have to have good brewing stats/gears to be successful in making them (or be profitable in doing so).  See: http://irowiki.org/wiki/Mixed_Cooking

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice.  I've managed to get my gene to lvl 161 from fighting NCT with the bounty board turn ins.

I'm interested in checking out the BioLabs, but I want to get that Glorious Morning Star that has been suggested.  I've never done anything with the Battlegrounds, but it looks straight forward enough from what I've looked up so far.

My question is- how active is the Battlegrounds, and where do I look to get recruited in to a party?  The Battle Grounds Hall seems to be totally absent of any players every time I pop in.

The most painless way to get KvM Badges is to convert EMBs at Merry badger in Eden.

2 EMB = 10 KvM Badges

To enter the KVM matches simply open your Alt+V menu, select Battlegrounds, go for the last option ans queue in. If other 5 ppl queue as well you'll be teleported to the match. Battlegrounds is not really active nowadays, and your best bet is to exchange EMBs for badges, like he already explained how^.

I'm still in the process of getting a Sera, Homun leveling is the most annoying part of this game. Noob question, If I reset my skills via Santa, will my Homun be erased/be back at level 1?

Nope. Only way to lose your Homu is by deleting it or reaching 0 intimacy. Even transcending doesn't reset it back to 1/delete it
