Hi,

As stated in the title, I am looking for a somewhat recent/current tier list that is inclusive for all classes directed towards PvE. I tried looking through multiple forum posts but although there exists other posts asking for "best PvE class choice", it usually includes some restrictions, some predetermined specifics that they're looking for as a requirement for their class selection (ie. "i want to play range" thus the answers are geared towards that). I am not looking for some specific archetype, and hopefully something like this would help others as well. I have however found a tier list for PvP which I thought was well written, albeit dated (2014), but I was hoping for a similar one geared towards PvE

I am a new player who is coming in fresh with a few of my friends and we were hoping if someone could enlighten us on which classes are seen by the majority to be among the best all the way down to the worst classes with some explanations if possible. (maybe in a alphabet format? SS being undisputed best, S's, A's, B's ... etc./ or tier1, t2 ,t3... maybe?)

I realize, as with all other tier lists, that this will be opinionated, but at least it would give me/new players some direction. Notes regarding their placement would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for all those who help!  :no1:

(Hopefully people will help  :ani_swt3: and if a similar thread already exists, sorry)

Hmm Ranking's for PvE
The things with PvE is there are dungeon's and mission maps. that are vastly different.
-All classes are able to get SSS in a MM, although not everyone is equal.
-All classes can solo elga, although not every class can farm the boxes at elga.
So ask yourself first what do you want to do? Dungeon's or Mission Maps?
Dungeon's require just DPS while mission maps require skills (to get a score)
Here's my depiction of dps/skill comparison.
ad8b3a31cf0da7fd6762c9e5e3083b46.png

Classes closer to the right have more skills that can help score higher in Mission Maps At faster paces.

While classes closer to the left have less skills to help, albeit they can still reach same score just not as fast.

and obviously the amount of damage per second is the y-axis.

Summoner in layman terms, massive x-spam damage in a siege type of way.(x-spam doesn't help with Mission Map Score, UNLESS it's a back attack) SSS
Destroyer the best of both worlds, has massive situational x-spam damage, and decent skills for Mission Map Score. SS
Invoker x-spam original in a strafing type of way, has very few skills for mission map scores BUT has the ability to heal. SS

Ninja has many skills for Mission map score and becomes very good dps w/ time reverse.S

Sorcerer many stand alone skills that help with mission maps and can keep moving while the skills deal the damage can also heal.A
Sentinel more of a pvp class since alot of traps are meant for disabling enemies rather than killing them. (xspam is possible not as good as the top 3 though)B
Overlord mobile moves that deal damage and moves a fix distance relatively a popular class due to cosmetics of (huge two handed sword)A

Dragon Knight High frequency tornadoes with a support skills ( a ninja's best friend )B
Jumeaux a pvp class, you fling and flail your twin around to deal damage.A
Savage many mobile skills should probably be higher but it's just a meh class to me I don't see it out damaging the other classes. B

Thanks Apocryphos,

In terms of DPS, could someone elaborate as to how different one is to another? ie. (top vs bottom according to the chart above) Assuming end game, same-ish gear, would a Summon do 2x more DPS than a Savage? 1.5x? 1.2x? I am curious as to how they stack up against each other, if not by a multiplier, perhaps differences in approximate times to burn down bosses? This would definitely give some type of DPS foundation to base the other classes in between.

In any case, much appreciated. If anyone else has comments, disputes on placement, every little bit would be helpful.

Summoner does probably like 4 times more damage than a savage with similar gear. It's not very balanced at all in that respect.

"In terms of DPS", we can keep these statements:

Summoner in layman terms, massive x-spam damage in a siege type of way.(x-spam doesn't help with Mission Map Score, UNLESS it's a back attack)

Ninja has many skills for Mission map score and becomes very good dps w/ time reverse.

Sentinel more of a pvp class since alot of traps are meant for disabling enemies rather than killing them.

Jumeaux a pvp class, you fling and flail your twin around to deal damage

Earth Master (Summoner) is way faster than every Class, even Invoker's "x-spam" and Ninja's maximized Crit. Rate upon "daggering and ambushing".

Destroyer would also be above Invoker, assuming that abusing Crux Shot makes this Class more efficient (or is it still more efficient without CS, I don't know).

I can attest of Apoc's point of view regarding Sentinel as I am XD

If Jumeaux's main character really had the main lead (along with the twin), then it might equal Ninja or Invoker...? But "thankfully", only the twin is "useful" in PvE; the main is kind of a support. I don't have any arguments to put it around Dragoon and Overlord, nor do I have any estimation of the Class, again "In terms of DPS".

I won't be able to give arguments about Sorcerer's and Savage's respective position.

you can have the slave skills on the main  twin with macro expansion but cost 100 IM each and is one macro per skill with a shared cool down
