What class are you going with this?
Drill Katar casts full divest, it'll work on anyone who isn't FCP'd but I believe the suggestion was specifically for RGs. (no EDP at first so the reflect isn't too much to deal with, then after you divest you EDP + glorious to kill.)
Personally, I'd rather just oblivion curse/dark crow and let someone else do the killing on a full tank.

You asked about defending aura and reflect, both of which are skills that require a shield. Full divest = no shield, and so no reflect or defending aura.
Though if you already knew it, then it's moot.

3. If you got manholed, press esc button and click the character select screen BEFORE he uses SF and steps on his/her mines. A not-so-clean approach, well at least he can't kill you.
This works if the person inside the Manhole is not burnt or crystallized.
SC's can still perform SF + Trap with just Ignorance + Ankle Snare if ever MH + SF is nerefed. So I would suggest being mobile all times.
