Still have people scamming items from guildleaders with the current system anyhow.

The Guild warehouse should work fine now that RODex is being fixed.  The problem originally was that there was the suggestion to use the warehouse as a means of covering the shortcomings of RODex, and that would not have worked.

 

Now that RODex has been fixed, the Guild Warehouse should be fine as is.

I still think guild leaders should have the option to only allow members to make requests on stuff in storage, and for those requests to be manually approved by the guild leader (the default system should be what the warehouse is right now), but I don't think that's important enough to block the deployment of this improvement altogether.  Especially since it'll require a lot of work on kRO to make a change like that.

 

With supplying covered, bigger guilds' leaders can give access to the warehouse to just a select few people, if they so choose.  And if they get scammed... that sucks, but at least they don't have to open it up to the whole guild.  And smaller guilds can utilize the warehouse more effectively too.

ok this is new to me.. so how can i access this new guild storage? is it gonna be thru kafra or theres a specific new npc for it.. im a pvm player and an extra storage is always good for me.. also they should just let the vip use use the 3rd storage too lol

You access the warehouse via warehouse NPCs in major towns like Prontera and Payon, although more can be added to other towns at the publisher's discretion.

Guild also needs to get the skill in order to use it, skill has 5 levels and quite a few pre-req skills

There will be scammers, or players who abuse the storage even when you know him/her for long time and have your trust.

 

Just wonder if Warpportal will be able to handle the ticket volume income due to the guild storage feature. (considering the "10k players" Campitor told still playing iRO last september).

 

Now if we consider the actual player base we know is playing (1.3k on high spikes), still a big volumen of tickets to consider.

How many guilds with high-risk items would this affect? Given the state of WoE and how many WoE guilds left, it doesn't seem like Support would be overwhelmed that much by warehouse-related issues.

People apparently believe 'I am your guildmaster pls gib ur expensive items so I can upgrade for you', so uhh I think people gonna get scammed no matter what. 

 

This is a good feature. I look forward to making a ton of alt guilds to load up with useless items that "I may need later".

Not to mention, even if there are only useless items, someone has the right to raise a ticket for a stolen jellopy.

 

btw the logs sees as this:

 

Deposit: Red Arrow Up (IDK why red instead the blue up)

withdraw: blue arrow down (again, should be red down instead)

If you're that paranoid about getting stuff taken without permission, just use RODEX and don't give anyone in your guild warehouse permissions. You don't have to use the warehouse for supply distribution.

it's mainly going to be for woe, eliminating the supply chore. although that requires people not to ravage the whole warehouse

anything other than that is for the purpose of sharing

Im not worried for being robbed, just put all the scenarios on the table. Nowadays GMs do not answer tickets (or very rare) during weekends. And even on workdays takes some hours, sometimes you will get an answer the next day.

Before it goes off the rail, was just a comment.

 

I like the feature, and tbh surely will be used on close friends and the very few woe guilds wichs still. Sadly it comes 5 years later and when our population its very low.

so are you complaining about the feature being scam prone, the ticket system recieving a high volume of concerns or guild storage being available years after?

cause im pretty sure we've already provided you with the most of what we can all do on the two concerns provided, and it appearing 5 years later was never in our hands

1) Who would store Jellopy in Guild Storage along good items? XD

2) It'd be super suspicious if someone took 100 Jellopies 1 at a time. Like, if something went missing, that person would immediately be the prime suspect.

 

If Guild Leaders are smart, which I trust they are, stuff shouldn't be disappearing as easily. There are methods and rules to limit access.

Assign someone to be guild treasurer, put them in charge of distributing supplies, and have them keep an Excel spreadsheet of all guild transactions. If any discrepancies occur, ticket in for a GM to look through their logs.

Or just don't use the guild warehouse at all and RODEX as usual.

Why do people even consider leaving high-end gears/items in guild warehouse if they're afraid it will be taken by someone else?

It's like they forget personal storage already exists.
