Posted this on the classic forum but havent gotten a response in a few days:

 

I just 99'd my dual dagger SinX.

 

I am looking to solo MvPs with him.

 

Is this possible and what gear/build would I need?

 

I'm hoping to be able to hunt rare items from MvPs with him.  Thanks!

ideally you want a crit build for mvping - but the best mvp builds aren't that great for WoE ... so it will be a dedicated mvper.

 

I can't really advise you more than that unless you say what kind of gear you have access to.

Hmm I have the generic Ice Pick, elemental damascus', witch hat + alarm mask, undershirt w/ whisper card, and porcellio pantie along with 20m in zeny.

 

I can sell the Ice Pick along with some KP I have to probably have around 100m.

 

Yea I'm totally cool with making him a dedicated MvPer.  Can they solo MvPs?

Oh yes, you can solo most stuff just not morroc, ifirit, mama vlak, bee etc.

 

 

You should see if getting rogue treasures are in your price range. If not, hunt them.

 

Typically when I make an mvper w/o god items, I bring my str down to 71~81 so that I can pump agility for more aspd. I don't get luk because I can use abrasives and foods, so you're looking at something like 30ish dex and then a mix of agi/vit that makes you comfortable. I fet ~ 50 total vit to mvp.

Hmm, so prior to having Rogue Treasures do you think I can get by with 2x kobold clips?

 

And can I use the Witch Hat + Alarm mask while mvping?  May be a stupid question but Im wondering if I can save some money by using pumpkins.

 

Edit: Would a Pierce LK be cheaper/easier to MvP with?  I have on that's level 80 something.

SD type is more advisable to do mvps for sinx especially ghost element mvps such as bee, naght sieger, memory of thanatos in which you need a full pt of course. Other than that, the best job to do solo mvps in classic is biochemist.

LK might be cheaper yes

 

for hats tho you'll want the +7 little feather hat and vanberk for a crit sinx. I used to do it with kolbold brooches (tho a death loop works too)
