Welp, can no longer send mails while the storage is open. Kicks suppliers in their knees even harder.

We can look into doing the classic solution. Create token items for the supplies that can only redeemed at designated crafting areas.

Not going to lie, that sounds even more inconvenient that what we will have to be doing now. Might as well just deal with opening the RODEX window, taking the items out, closing it and then opening the storage and dropping the items in. Just adds a lot of steps to a already tedious process (not to mention it adds more repetition with the limited weight per mail). But at least RODEX can be accessed anywhere in game.

 

Edit: Okay so you can open mails sent to you while in storage, but you can't open a compose window while in storage.

Just hope people have enough STR to take everyone out once we get the iRO custom restrictions or else there's going to be QQing about going naked. Because people are going to assume the max weight means it's removable without regard for the recipient's weight limit.

So the notification bird (near the cash shop button on top right) seems to be inconsistent when it does or doesn't pop up. 

 

Also, you can end up with too much Z and have it be inaccessible in your mail. Good news is you can just trade/mail what you do have and then access the z in the mail. 

 

Side note, you can do the "walk then open compose mail" thing like you can with chat rooms.

I only got it when i had mail waiting for me.

We tested it and the bird doesn't show up sometimes if you do have mail waiting.

Did you just do character select or exit the client fully? One of the checks seems to be only if you are passed to the character server between zone servers.

It doesn't always appear when I get messages... Reloging or not it just doesn't appear sometimes.

 

 

 

Also what is up with the Show C Code?

 

 

Can I paste this somewhere to make message sending easier? Is it for identifying characters in tickets?

kRO had tinkered around with linking emails with RO's mail system, but it was suspended development for now. That might be what it is.

If you close the window, it refreshes. If you open it again, it goes away. 

 

EDIT: sometimes you get it even without mail, and it just comes back after you open/close the mail window. Weird.

C Code was added by KRO for identifying someone for reports, and to prevent impersonation afaik.

I think you are, it doesn't relate to any thing else I found to ID characters. It seems to be generated uniquely for ROdex.

I wish you could type it in instead of a characters name, it would make some things easier....

 

 

You can view your own C-Code by hitting escape, it shows it next to game setting window.

This C-CODE looks more interesting than the ROdex

It's the (reversibly mangled) char id. It's always been around, but previously it was much harder to obtain. Now it's broadcast to everyone on screen, and you can also look up anyone's char id and level even if they're not on your screen.

You can view anyone's, even if they haven't been on in forever. I checked friends who hadn't even logged on since the server merge. 

 

You either right click the person to see theirs, or you "check name" in RODex when writing them a letter, and it shows their class/level/c-code. 

 

EDIT: Unrelated to what Tigress said, but the ability to mail yourself stuff is awesome and idiotically useful.

Actually, you can! If you right click someone and click on the c-code part, it auto copies it to your clipboard. And you can ctrl+v it into notepad or wherever.
