EDIT: Unrelated to what Tigress said, but the ability to mail yourself stuff is awesome and idiotically useful. 

 

It also seems one can mail items to characters on the same account. Which means I could or will be able to mail potions to my Shadow Chaser or Mastersmith.

You can mail them to the literal same character, effectively letting you float gear/supplies/zeny for however long the expiration timer is.

 

example: About to go to ET -> mail yourself 750 pots + 250 acid bottles and 250 bottle grenades -> resupply from mail when both are low -> don't need kafra card or to walk back up to top floor.

 

or: Overburdened but don't want to waste time (gum, battle manual, etc.) -> write mail to yourself and send 2,000 weight's worth of things that you can retrieve later (flywings, healing items, etc.). 

 

It's also a lot easier to just leave one char at storage and mail yourself the items you need instead of moving back to storage over and over. I foresee great ease of use from the system.

The testing is being done on Sakray.

i have many things in mind to use this pokedex
or is there a list? like the old mail system?

It's anything that can be traded. So account bound stuff can't be, but regular gear/items can be. 

 

MVP cards (that are untradeable) can't be, but a gear slotted with an MVP card can be.

Can i type the person C-CODE instead of his/her character name?

Nope. At least when I tried it didn't work.

Only problem is if your character was not in Prontera at the time it was copied over to Sakray, the client disconnects you.

Not necessarily (though Eden, it does). I had people all over (Rachel, Juno, etc.).

 

You could also just make a new char and use the NPC to level up if needed.

I have a character in Geffen and it didn't work. Only 1 in Prontera that I can use on Sakray.

I love Rodex. So convenient to transfer Potions and Items. No more trade to storage to trade system. No bugs so far. love it

15 days. It can't be used for long term storage and will charge a small tax on zeny sent.
