Just a few questions since you cannot learn everything from google/guildies :v

1. If I transmorg Epic equip (RHD epic weapon) into Rare equip (say Menace, Joser, Ignatius, etc) will the rarity changed or stay?
2. If the answer is stay as the main equip rarity, what about if I transmorg with vanity costume? (Goblin, Tropical, Oriental Night/Morning Armor etc) Will it become Epic rarity (because the transmorg equip rarity is Epic) or will it still stay as Rare?
3. If the answer is still stay as it is, then there should be no way to implement aura to Rare equips, is it?

I need a real answer from CM/Njoror if possible since so many people said different things. (From pub chats to a VCR from my own guild who says 'I dunno' lol) Also the fact that people who have used aura is mostly people who use walking salad (read: Serenia) and Eddga gears so I really want to know.

Thanks beforehand! :3

Tested this on my own char both on live server and the test server:
1) Rarity will stay the same as the target piece. If you put the appearance of an Epic onto a Rare, it will still be Rare.
2) Rarity will stay the same as the target piece. If you put the Epic vanity costume onto a Rare top, it will still be a Rare top.
3) It appears there isn't. Aura seems to only allow Master Level Epic rarity gears to be placed in the UI. I honestly didn't really realize until I saw this thread and decided to test it (mostly because I don't use auras :P).  I guess it's one of those poorly designed restrictions that don't make sense.

If you need further proof I'll go and upload the screenshots, but it seems pretty straightforward to me.

Wew.

For the sakes of others who need clarification, maybe you should post the screenshots. @Arbalist :v

But thanks for the info. Now I have no limits in transmogrification since I know (sadly) that I cant put any aura inside my gears XD

It does make me confused since there is no specific information written on Idun's guide on aura system and the fact that people can't put auras on their Menace.

It's one of those things that seem straightforward enough that nothing needs to be said. As for point 3, honestly any logical person would think that auras could be used in all types of equipments that it wouldn't be worth testing otherwise. And then there's Gravity logic which throws out all that common sense.

I personally don't like auras as I play a stealthy character that shouldn't glow, rofl.

I still wish there was a toggle to turn off the glow on my +20 weapon... *much sigh*

I don't mind (and rather like) seeing other players glow because I want to appreciate

their vision for their character. It's sad when the game restricts their vision for what

seems to be no good reason. Auras should be applicable on all gear types, imho. . .

Its because your Cazar Bow already matches your lovely gears but the white glow destroy your looks :v

PS: Rip the colors between Cazar Bow (blue) and the rest of Ranger Cazar gears (green). Maybe I should make another ML 1 Ranger as my other powerhouse other than Ursa :3
