Okay, call me racist, but I believe that members of the Norman race and the Doram race should not be allowed to marry. It's just... wrong!

 

Anywho, aside from that furry issue, the updates to the Wedding and Adoption system are pretty cool. The expanded classes are now allowed to be babified, and the updated skills are pretty good, like the baby gives the parents +3 to All Stats. Just... no on the inter-species marriage. If they are so against Same Sex Marriages in this game, why is this OK?

Looking at the appearance of Dorams and thinking about marriage between one and a norman is just disturbing... like REALLY disturbing. But technically it's just RO's version of interracial marriage (you're not supposed to look at Dorams as pets or beasts but denizens of Rune Midgard that just happened to belong to a different race); so again, without looking at how Dorams look like, why should it be taken as inconceivable as LGBT marriage?

^ this. As I said to a few people, if dorams looked like normans but with cat ears and a tail, it would be considered "acceptable" by the masses. They are not considered cats in the game, they are considered another race like normans and demons etc.

True, but the game's take on Norse myth is very... loose to put it lightly. Otherwise we'd have Gythas and Ghothis welcoming people to the blót rather than priests to the cathedral in Prontera. And Niflheim would be a realm of cold, ice and mist, not a theme park looking village. And so on. Inspired, true. But to say that just because it happened in the myths then its bound to happen in the game. Its a game, not a reconstruction of Norse lore and the Eddas. It is its own myth. And in this myth, cat people can marry Normans.
