So I've been playing a little more over the Christmas break and the game is still actually fun. However there's still some things I'd like to see happen this year to make Classic more interesting and hopefully get people playing again.
Here's what I'd like to see:
- The GMs to give a damn. Like seriously, finish some of your projects. I dont know how much attention the other servers are getting, but it really feels like Classic gets treated like an afterthought week in week out. Despite semi-regular promises to do better, there's never much change.
- Group content, more things to bring people together! BGs, PvP, Instances whatever. Hazy seems to have been implemented smoothly, but it's not tuned properly and the rewards (are there even any) are not equivalent to the difficulty. Look at Nidhogg as an example.
- Review or re-publishing of the drops/spawn tables. There's a handful of zones or monsters I believe that have had spotlights go through and revert their rates to weird or incorrect values. It'd be nice to be able to put away the tinfoil hat and get everything out in the open.
I'm not sure about everyone else around here, but I have a ton of ideas that could be cool to implement. Ranging from minimum effort fun things, to probably impossible mammoth projects. However I have no idea where or how to put these. My experience about voicing these here is that there's no point because if by some miracle they get read and looked at, any implementation of them will be broken, incomplete and not actually what was proposed in the first place.
What would you like to see happen with/on/to Classic this year?
