I would just like to know if the person below in the situation can be reported since i feel sorry for the newbies being caught up with this though they are partly responsible for it though i have other agendas for this inquiry.

 

For instance, Person A has 2/3/4 accounts...

 

Person A wants to buy "Item X". Item X is commonly and is being sold at let say 700m. Person A, being witty, pubs his 1~10 number of alternate chars pretending to be a seller and is affixing a price ranging from 100m-200m then another alternate of his pubs "B> Item X 400m". And you probably know what person A does if ever he sees a seller, sometimes surrounds the seller with fake selling pubs of "item X" just to haggle out and buy the item using another account.

 

I dont have any problem with the buying price being less the average since prices are players' prerogative but the attitude of being a bogus seller, creating multiple fake pubs bothers me.

Is there any reportable offense to this?

Technically sounds like a scam, so you could report it and see what happens.

Yeah it's probably worth a reporting because the only possible motivations for that kind of behaviour is either trying to fix the market (aka manipulate data on Ragial), or undercutting rival vendors. Which is pretty unacceptable either way. Might not result in a ban, but... Still, they'll likely get in trouble.

he puts a B> bako tat 1,05b. while the person next to him (his alt) puts S> bako tat 1,05b

It's just information wars. The same as when somebody prices an item at double or triple the current price to try to manipulate the price perception of other market players. It's not always successful, just as this one. In the end the power of any single player over the market is nearly negligible.

That kind of tactic is old. The only person that would become victim to this is a greedy person.

I doubt it.  Ragial only tell you what 'price seller want to sell'.  Past average price does not equal to current price traders should follow.  Take extreme cases, EXP event versus BM price, HD ELU versus upgrade event price.  There is NO  'average price'.  It is only how many supply versus how many demand (or desperation) now. 

    

RWC is average 85M, but if only 1 seller ask 92M, buyer can not wait and buy it.  that is it.  that is like stock.

If you have one GTB and want to buy one more from another.  Dress you GTB on slave account and ask for a lower price to make seller's mind willing to compromise price down.  Sure, WHY NOT. - You walk into WALMART ' buy one get one free', you know they raise price and pretend it is cheap. you buy it anyway, SURE WHY NOT.

 

Ragial can only reflect accurate information on lower tier with massive trade volume.  precious items, like MVP card, god item, it is all about how desperate the buyer want.  Most MVP cards buyer know this risk.   "o, i pay over price" that is it.

 

This game's mechanic make this trader trick possible.  If you want to fix this problem, make an auction trade window.  All problem solved, happy ever after.  O wait, how about item beyond 2.147B a char can only hold.  you can make a RO BANK, make auction house link to your RO BANK.  all problem solved.  

I will say, it is ambiguous area, but not scam.

this is an old trick. it's easier to track this damn old fool down if you use alternative channels to make em appear then browse ROPD for possible relevance in between IGNs. I love sending tickets and see their accounts burned down to hell and couldn't care less on what they feel nor say about it

"you should follow ragial" right, if i vend 6M, the rest traders wipe out my items and vend 14M still to mock me.

It is part of the game. I am from old RPG game, 'the realm online', there is no ragial, there is no trading window.

Know  how to trade with middle man with mass vouch on channel(especially, the voucher we knew), how to tell if we walk into a Ponzi scheme.  While debating "i lost 100M", why not rush to guild dungeon to farm black rosary[1] while you still have chance.

Dude, you're not reading at all, even if you vend it at 100m and you profit out of it, it's totally fine, i have nothing against it.
