I was wondering when these skills are dispelled, just tried it recently (Sage Spirit to be exact) but the buff gets lost as soon as i change map. Watch a few videos from different official and private servers, the buff stays even when changing maps, same with Kaahi buff. Now, is this an iRO Custom Change? Is this intended or a bug?

euRO has it working the same way ever since Linkers have been introduced there.

 

Edit:

If it's a Sage just bring your Linker into LowTI.

For mid/high this won't work, but there are other maps outside of ti that are nice and where link does stay.

I gave some examples in your other thread about the same thing. :v

It wasn't. Pretty sure that it's just changing the zone server.
It has always been that way. You can change maps as long as it's on the same zone.

how are zones classified by the way, tried prtfild08 to prtfild07 then it gets lost

I am honestly not sure which are connected. I mostly know WoE maps because of rogue link =(

According to a site (which i cannot mention here) , prt filds are on the same zone :/

If you cannot mention the site here I would really doubt it's information.

Maps can be switched around on zone servers.

I have numerous SLs and I can't recall a map wherein the link stays after entering the warp (to the next map).

 

I checked the example maps and my SLs (and my other characters) were not fond of Juperous or El Dicastes

Back in my day, the iro wiki used to have a list of which maps were on which zone servers, and changing zone servers drops most buffs (has been that way forever).

 

Basically if you get the loading box your changing zone servers, if its just a quick fade out/in (like teleport) then they are on the same server.

 

As for private servers, they probably have everything setup on one single zone server, or they might have rejigged the emulation or w/e so they do stay. but more likely just a single zone server with all the maps on it. each official RO would have different zone server configs as well, so you can't really go by what say jRO might show as being on the same server, since iRO would be configured differently probably.

Not really, you could have a loading box but still be on the same zone server. Juperos, El discastes, City inn's and some fields. Just it tested few hours ago. If an updated list exist about zones, that would be helpful.
