Seeing as how people want to see more kRO updates than iRO customizations, this is a legitimate question to ask. But if that's how you feel, then nothing I say can change your mind.

Some customizations are good but others not...

If we could at least be only 1year behind kRO on updates, this could make the game better.

Oh but I have no need to know either. I am quite fine with not making myself bitter on purpose.

This version still provides me with entertainment. When that stops, I'll be gone.

Looking at everything they have would just ruin the surprise and the novelty of everything that comes out here.

That being said, I would not be against playing it. If it ends up being better, good thing for everyone that would find fun there.

But I do believe this was more of a veiled "I want what kRO has" than an actual new server wish  ;)

Thus my first answer and this follow-up.

Ok, but what if people are in favour of kRO content? What exactly will come out of this thread other than "oh cool, people would like a kRO server"?

Tyranny of the majority? I'm just curious about the arguments that the pro-developer and anti-developer have in regards to whether we should continue getting updates from the developers or just screw it and continue making decisions that rely on 3rd-party add-ons.

kRO are the developers and they've made a lot of updates that have been kept from official servers, so of course players want to get what the developers have cooked up for the game. Unless you're among those who would rather not have updates like RODEX and effect icons for buffs and debuffs.

I just feel pro-developer people should be given a chance to voice themselves on this instead of being constantly shut down by anti-developer people.

For the record, I don't care either way, I just want to see arguments for and against iRO being updated by the developers since iRO has zero chance of being like jRO.

I personally don't have faith in kRO, jRO on the other hand did it right. But as is iRO is still fun to play.

Pro-developer? or pro-p2w.  pretty much everyone who is pro-developer is someone who wants to p2w 100% without caring about server health. (there are a few exceptions but they are few and far between).

The reason for that is culture differences, most of the time. Korean MMOs have a reputation for being grindy compared to western games for a reason.

How would you describe the "culture" of an international server?

Playing english KRO may looks like eating traditional kimchi. lol
IMO I don't like its taste. Need some red chili for more spicy!
For you westerners. Try to fry it with olive oil and cheese. :P

PS. pinoy might eat it with balut.

iRO isn't international. It's USA / English speaking. (Thor maybe an exception)

I would like to know why from the very beginning all RO localizations weren't kept the same as kRO instead of different update schedules.

Most obvious answer would be that each official launched at different times. Wouldn't make sense that an official that launched in, say, 2005 would also have the exact same updates as an official that launched in 2003. Need to give players time to catch up to content since it's not like they're competing to catch up with other officials. Then again, with RWC existing, it would be unfair for certain regions to not be able to participate because they're not up-to-date. Lest you have an official that has only received 2nd Classes compete with officials that already got Trans Classes.

However, now that both the Taiwan and Indonesia servers are under kRO's control and kRO has changed Thailand's publisher, I'm curious to see how they plan to handle updates for officials with all this management shifting.

Talvis was asking why don't all officials get the same updates at the same time instead of staggered updates like they do now. Although that would be more efficient on the developers' end, it wouldn't be fair to newer servers whose players have to rush to catch up to players from older servers. However, at this point, it doesn't really matter since new servers aren't going to be open anymore (still haven't seen anything about cRO reopening).

I'd be interested in a demo but unless it's significantly more fun it'd just be another failed server.

I just want VIP servers back
