Currently sporting a +9 Double Kingbird Tae Goo Lyeon (EA9) and I've been considering going for an Erde instead (with the same stuff on it) with a +9 Resistant Immune Shield.

What are your opinions on the pros and cons?

AFAIK doesn't look like a bad trade but is there more to the sword than I am aware of?

Meaning would I lose anything else than 10 P.Dodge and have skills cost a bit more SP?

Edit: This is purlely for PVM and casual MVP purposes. Trying to find ways to better survive MVPs in my weekly solo Endless Tower runs while not lowering my leveling efficiency.

Mostly the cast reduct that the sword provides, as well as the ability to use 2HQ for the aspd (animation). I'd still keep the sword and save up to buy another weapon because TGL is pretty vital to an RK. Also, if you're not gonna use the Erde for another char (ex: gene), go for a Mace [4x AS] instead.

This sounds like something I am unaware of. What is the impact of attack speed exactly?

makes animation smoother, nothing to worry about when not on 90%+ delay reduction.

ASPD also dictates the "flinch" time of Parry.

Hmm, can't say I've ever used Parry much...tried it once before and it does not mix well with mobbing.

Have not thought about it since though, could be of use against some MVPs in there I'm having trouble with.

Mainly Samurai Specter...

Just felt like the sword was not giving me much VS having another weapon with as much range damage + shield.

the 20% cast delay reduction is what makes this sword good, a 10% overall dps increase

o_o Did not even know that. I was just looking at it ingame and thought to myself...I can get something better than that. Definitely not now...

Mostly just been following various guides/discussion on this forums about RK gearing.

This had me confused I guess, must be a bad item description.

Not playing for a few months at a time once in a while makes me forget things...had it for quite a while now.

Was looking at all my gear and trying to see what I could improve...was like "this doesn't look THAT good..."  :hmm:

Well thanks for making me avoid that mistake.

Similar question: Would over-upgrading (+10~14) a main gauche [4] carded with Archer Skeleton cards make a difference at all for a pure-DB RK? The maths says no but I've seen "pros" using an over-upgraded main gauches when they're using shields  :hmm:  :hmm:

PS: sorry for kind of high-jacking your post Ilindith, I just thought  my question is in the same context as your tittle  :heh:
