Hello,

 

coming from euRo, there was a Lotto Event for two weeks every summer. I really loved it. Maybe you can do something similar here too?

 

You can take an accessory, which enables the drop of 6 different Lotto-Ball-Boxes from every Monster. By opening these Boxes you get some random Lotto Balls which you can then give to an NPC. Every evening Lottery is done and you can win prices.

 

(There are 6 Lotto Boxes. Box1 gives one random Lotto Ball Nr. 1 - 6. Box2 gives 7 - 14, and so on)

There is one big problem with that event: bots.

As cool as that event is I don't think it would be a good idea to implement this on here.

(In all of my time on euRO I have seen way less bots than in my first weeks of iRO. Not saying that euRO has none, it's just way less or they are way less obvious.)

Lawl. You guys act like botters care about -_- like this. Takes too much time to code and it'll cause them to lose productivity. Unless the lottery gives like 1b and an bmp card they're not going to care to bot it.

It doesnt take a lot to code, it's fairly simple. And you can do it while running them so w/e.

The way this lottery works on euro:

You talk to the main NPC once.

You get a ring and equip it, takes 1 accessory slot and makes the lotto boxes drop.

Just kill whatever and get tons of lotto boxes.

 

So far no work for potential botters.

 

Now with a bot:

You can also have the bot dump the boxes/balls into the storage to take them out with other characters on the same account.

Turning them in can also be automated, or if you for whatever reason can't get that done you just quickly do it manually. Same goes for claiming the prize.

 

Effort: Minimal.

Reward: Very much worth it if the event is worth doing.
