Like say I have the money to invest in getting my Headgear or armour to +9 from +0 is the cost  worth it if I am doing it to sell the item?

 

+4 to +7 using enriched

Headgear & Armour: 44%    Average cost= 42 & 60mil

Weapon level 4: 44%           Average cost= 42mil

 

 

+7 to +9 using enriched (E.Elu/Ori=3mil per)

Headgear & Armour: 16%    Average cost= 39mil

Weapon level 4: 16%           Average cost= 39mil

 

Headgear to +9= 81mil

Armour to +9= 99mil

Weapon to +9= 81mil

 

But this still doesn't include degrading :/ those prices could easily double... so whats the advice of you veterans of refinement?

some people refine junk gears and feed it to Eat Gear for certs, then sell them

It's simple maths really. Find out the current price of the intended item at the intended refine level, +/- 10% at least of that price to take into account undercutters. Depending on the value of the base item, determine whether safe certificates are needed and easily double the amount needed and be happy if it gets it in the exact amount required. Use Enriched events when available to get +9, don't bother with it outside unless your are Ashuckel. Also, remember when an Enriched event is on, prices will drop hard, so save them for after the event.

Also yeah, what Chorva said is also another route, my method is aimed towards upgrading mid to end game gears.

all depends on your luck. my luck on refining to +9 and +12 is always bad, so i dont do refine anymore. so i prefer to buy the +9 and +12 gears directly.

Depends on your luck. If RNG is not cooperating call Asch.   I, sometimes is lucky but more often unlucky. The first time I did eat gear I thought it was always success and no fail coz. I did fed it 3 +7 gears and it ate it. So, experiencing that I bought a +7 muffler for 12m I think and guess what.... it failed. Made me realize that it's not a one-way road but a 1 in and 2 way out road.

For some ppl yeah
