These items seems to be very good especially if faceworm is slotted and has good enchats along with time boots [1] which will give an additional Max HP +15% and Max SP +5%.

However, when i look into character guides and builds, i do not see this combo being suggested. Why is that?

coz FAW and HBP is better. the faceworm combo is good if u want more HP for either survivability, or classes that need high HP to perform like DB RK and TC Sura.

And i would suggest the high upgraded felrock combo if high hp is realy needed. +30% both hp and sp, movement speed, 35% cast reduction, 10% neutral resist and atack speed, plus slot on garment. Asura shuras would destroy.

Because FAW/HBP are better options in 90% of the cases. Gfss+temporal combo is mostly used when the class has no need for those garments or is greatly boosted by that hp/sp potential.

I was going to buy a GFSS [1] STR+5 STR+3 Special STR & Temporal STR boots for my GX but i guess i will need to look for a better option to save money.

gfss is never good for damage, but it gives good defensive ability. event you have a v18 gfss, faw still has 10% more damage for db rk

He most likely means that. Considering how every INT = 1% increase in damage to the formula of their AoE skills.

Actually just checked... 5% per INT for Diamond Dust and Earth Gravel and 3% for Psychic Wave (BEFORE applying the 175% damage at level 175)...

You could use int FAW, but gfss has more Int potential, is generally cheaper, and comes with that free hp/sp since you'll use temp boots for pvm most of time

Well there you go. FAW and HBP 20~30 flat MATK means nothing in the face of at least a INT+6 GFSS, 9 flat MATK but 30% boost...............

Gears are all good it just depends on your build and fighting style. So no faw and hbp are technically not better than gffs.

But your right that vit faceworm is for more hp survival mode. I use faw gffs and woe muffler depending on oppenent.

Gfss is better for Sura in every scenario except when you're using Sleipnirs for Gfist. Then an FS FAW would be better. Or an SP FAW, depending on your gear.

GFSS is also good on full support performer for an easier time getting perfect strings with some survivability (You want +Int exchange on it)
