Example

This covers:

- all preskills you need

- Frost Nova 10, for a fast-cast freeze aoe (it's small, but can also freeze water elemental monsters since it does not need to hit to freeze)

- Soul Drain 10, so you never run out of sp while grinding (also enabled using kaahi for easier grinding as wl)

- Firewall 10 and Safefywall 10, because these skills are amazing

- Quagmire 3, so you can slow down mobs for easier positioning and dodge monsters easier once you actually start getting agi

- Mystical Amplification, would be stupid to not get this

+ 9 leftover skillpoints with which you can:

- increase Stormgust (i never really used this as WL tho, only really useful for dmg if Kasa and/or Salamander are in ti imo)

- max Quagmire (for longer duration, keep in mind that you ca only have 3 up at the same time)

- Ice Wall (you can damage it with a lot of your spells, it still has some nice utility though)

- Sense (1 skillpoint, why not)

- or whatever else you might fancy

Soul Expansion should always be maxed so you can get Intensification.

(Unless you know what you're doing and plan something weird maybe.)

Intensification + ghost magic boosters + SE spam = rip ghost mobs like this one

It's also very useful whenever you happen to need a spammy spell vs any mob you can hit with it.

SG FTW, best mob control skills to have since ancient times and still relevant and effective till now :heh:

its natural 11x11 area barrier which froze and repel powerful enemies works wonder.

Your party and yourself would be thankful that a squishy warlock or SC's could cast wide protective barriers during bio monsters siege, also proven very effective during Eremes TI when you're wary that invisible Death is stalking you and your parties at all times :heh:

If you want SG only for mob control lvl 1 is easily enough (lvl 1 also has the best chance to freeze).

If you however want it for damage you should invest more points into it.

level 1 and 10 because the damage still very good against anything that cant be frozen but weak to water (Boss protocol fire monsters and horde of undead) :heh:

If you walk at the correct moment you can cancel the annimation.

Don't worry about it hindering JT, you'll stop using JT soon enough as WL.

Yes, it does happen with all your non-ground targeted skills (Crimson Rock, Chain Lightning, Soul Expansion, JT, Mage bolts, etc) as soon as you deal a killing blow.

The skill is too good to not get though.

Practice is the key to learning how to deal with that extra animation.
