What's Up

This week's patch is light, since we are on a twice a month patching schedule to give more time for development and testing. It should include:

  • Weekend EXP returns
    • EXP boosts have strange settings that don't always add up, we've re-enabled weekend settings which might cause us an issue that we'll work to resolve once Dapara returns, but feel free to take advantage on the weekends.
  • Phantom Pyramid Update
    • Since Yule Festival is over, we've swapped out the top tier with an Ultra Superlarge Bag
    • We expect another change in February with that holiday
  • Sale: Refinement, Storage, and Phantom Stones
    • Refinement and Storage seemed to be items people really wanted a sale for
    • Phantom Stones to go along with the new Pyramid item, something we typically have been doing when we swap it

What's Next

  • Card Reinforcement Update
    • We're still thinking this should make last week. The most recent version is being tested internally but we're going to get VCR opinions on it starting this week and a guide built out and ready for Monday.
  • Seedrune Update
    • Focus is on getting Card Reinforcement out first, if that's ready early, we may get this or parts out next week. If not, it'll be targeted next
  • PvP Updates
    • Working on a buff or effect that will  go into PvP zones that will balance out PvE items and leave PvP items being the main contributor to these areas. The idea is that it'll allow PvP to scale separate from PvE so we don't have this power creep that's been happening since AoV. This also lets us introduce new PvP items.
  • PvE Updates
    • Incremental leveling improvements are being worked on, such as more flight paths in Dayr Desert, while bigger projects are being tinkered with, like redoing the Monster difficulty/EXP and player exp gain/MP requirements/quests.

We're still taking in feedback from other Njotes and forum topics, even though I'm not always available to respond to it, so feel free to contribute and it'll definitely get to us for consideration.

Because "fix / changing things" is not as easy as people might think..

To put it simple,

Try to imagine someone gave you an old Car, and you absolutely have no idea how that thing works.
And now you have to do massive tune up for that car, all by yourself.
Fix List:
- Headlights too bright
- Turn signal blinking randomly
- Radiator is busted
- Air conditioner is too cold
- The horn do funny noise
- Exhaust pipe is leaking
- The electric window doesn't work
- The brake squeaks
- Flat tires

And obviously, you can't simply replace the broken parts.
You have to FIX it.

And people always asking, "what took you so long to fix them?"

If you have a car and you put that car in the hands of a mechanics and this dude tell you; "in two more weeks the engine it's gonna work fine", then you come back in two weeks and he tell you again; "in two more weeks", and then another two weeks, and like that to the infinite......¿what you are gonna do?.

You have one full year to put this to work and you tell to your community; "in one year there is gonna be everything you ask in this game". One year late mostly nothing changes and this same company tell you; "hey, in the next week come what you want", but again nothing happen, and the process go on again in this 2017.....

Look, i understand and all my guildies that game engine sucks but there are limits in how you sell you history and problems, my problem is that if you make a statement you full fill you words, if not then go and don't make promise you can't keep.

Honesty is better than empty promise and I repeat what warpportal tell us; - Runes July (2016), changes in level progression September (2016), New DarkWhisper Cards September (2016), PVP changes October (2016), Nifelheim December (2016) THEN when nothing of this come everthing change to; PVP changes December (2016), new card system December (2016), Nifelheim March (2017). NOW is; New Card System maaaybe this month, and forget Nifelheim some time in the end of the year.

This is a downfall for my guildies and I who play waiting this promises to be full fill, THERE IS NO OTHER REASON WHY ME AND THEY PLAY. the game for old players is a nightmare of dailies and making news pjs, really all of us are in a limit situation with this game us love.

Annoying Karcho.

Sorry for the bad english.

Exactly. I understand the game engine is tricky to be dealt with and fixing bugs can be a pain in the bottom, what I don't like is to be given false expectations about when things that are spoken of that interest players a lot are to be released and then do not meet the release time period given. They would rather say they don't know when it is coming out. Sadly I came to the conclusion WP has to do this waiting game as part of their strategy to keep the players interested in RO2. It's why I just don't expect anything from them anymore, to not feel disappointed or lied to.

A lot of the "bugs" they call were made on purpose by them, only a blindman or a very young/gullible person can't see it. This is the company the players have to deal with... and WP isn't the only online gaming company that does it.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, since i couldn't find any info regarding this. But i'd like to know if this is a new feature, intended or not

v4z4ev.jpg

As u can see, this happens during WOE, i was able to view my target's buff timer, allies or enemies, which includes cure/reno timer

This happened after the siege changes got implemented a week ago

But i was only able to view these timers in Morroc Fortress but not in Prontera Fortress for some weird reason, where as a few friends of mine couldn't even view these timers on either maps

So, i'm curious here. Since it wasn't stated on the patch notes, i figured the dev somehow 'accidentally' trigger these timers on certain conditions during the Siege Change Patch due to the new Siege buff icon to show the siege limits

Also i'd be honest, these 'new' timer is such a great thing to hav, more so for healers and i wish it could be implemented for real. Would love to hav these not just for pvp, but for pve as well

It makes healer's life much easier

Would like a clarification on GM side, would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

This is a new function that yes, for some reason - that I am not aware of, they probably simply forgot, hasn't been listed in the patch notes.
It should be working on both the maps dedicated to PvP during WoE.
Next time there will be WoE on Saturday, I'll take a look at it to see if it's not working in Prontera as you say, so developers can fix it. :p_laugh: :p_laugh:

Ps: nice HP!! :p_laugh: :p_laugh:

New "buff" - it's no buff.
Icon new skill guild, which shows how many mashines\cannons may use the guild-members.
1lv skill = 10 mashines
5lv skill = 50 mashines

It's icon work in Prontera Batlefield and Moroc Fortes.
New stats mashines(dps\coldown) work.

I play a healer class and I don't like those timers, I can't quickly see what the buffs someone has on him. Cartian who plays rogue also doesn't like them because of same reason, he reported this as a VCR yet it went to deaf ears and this new "feature" went live for WOE times. I hope you'll enjoy it, I'll need time to get used to it... x.x
