Just throwing in my two-cents here regarding CC Hats as participation prizes and contest prizes:

 

CC hats as an alternate option to the participation prize is good.

Having CC hats as the only participation prize is not so good.

 

Posting what the prize of a contest is going to be (despite it being new and cute), is significantly less motivating in my opinion. The anticipation for a mystery prize makes things more fun and interesting. I was honestly struggling to have fun while finishing that submission during the recent contest in comparison to the previous ones after knowing what the prize was ; A; (not trying to imply that the prize is bad or something).

 

But hey, that's just my opinions :v And regardless of what decisions are made, I'll just roll with it

If CC hats weren't given out like candy from effortless loading screen submission, it wouldn't have been a problem.

However, the ones who don't like CC hats as participation prizes are the ones who already has a decent number of them saved up. It's really not a big deal since I doubt people are going to stop giving submissions. These contests gives out exclusive hats and that's more than enough for most participants to continue participating.
