How would you guys feel about WOW styled world bosses that spawned like 2x a day at a random time/location.  This would prevent them from being campable or abusable (although I'm sure the second part wouldn't last).  They would not be soloable by any stretch of the imagination, but would require, say, 20+ people to kill and everyone would have a shot at loot and a card.   You could even implement a massive, diverse, or even changing drop table to keep people motivated to do it.   

 

Thoughts?

Technically RO has world bosses but I get what you mean, the problem is due to the mechanics of RO it is probably impossible unless the MVP is legit immune to damage with out at least X players present.

Convex Mirrors and Divine Pride's MVP timers already negate the RNG of MVP spawns. Just make it like RO2 and have the MVPs spawn in the same spots since RNG spots does nothing.

Yeah, there are a lot of mechanical limitations that would be difficult to circumvent.

i am up to this idea.
the mvp should be random and visited random place. it should have span of 2 hour, if it is not killed, the mvp will disappear. and another MVP on another random map will spawn.

D2 had uber diablo.

 

That was an awesome feature. Had to sell X amount of a very rare item (SoJ) to an NPC. Then he would spawn on a random server, in a random game, on a random map but would give one of the craziest items in the game upon pulling off such a feat.

I would just love for them to design a boss that requires a party to take down that isn't just a massive HP well that just leads to a long boring battle.

We discussed this already a while ago but nothing happened, there were a lot of good ideas to make the MVP difficult to kill with a party, maybe one day we will get one(that will be properly implemented).
