Just some idea to help pvp balance

So to help balance for pvp I have a small suggestion. For a lot of classes that are skill based like ninja, overlord, savage, dragoon, that need some buff ups maybe its possible to, for certain skills on each one of these classes to get modified a bit? Here is the logic, skill based class above does not get the same benefit as x spam class from element. Instead of nerfing the x spam class even more maybe we can buff up the classes above in a similar way.

For example, reduce the skill dmg for wyvern on overlord but increase the number of hits by 2-3x (just as example, ofc actual numbers and value is up to mr popcorn) the increase in number of hits is good for takkngn advantage of the element like the x spam class. Is this a good idea or bad idea? What skills would on the above classes can benefit the most without too op?

Although different in concept take a look at this thread, dealing with specific skills for balance is a very touchy subject still.

Also who would determine the % for every skill for pvp? None of the people who work with the game are experienced on pvp, having every skill balanced by the community would be like running through a mine field and we would be left with a messed up indecisive community with some players for and against a new fix for that change, leaving a stressed popcorn.

I understand your idea but the things Agitodesu already pointed out are correct.

 

I'd like to point out that a lvl 85 overlord is well capable of 1-2 shotting x-spamming player even with elements being completely resisted, While a priest cannot.

The key factors you're missing with skills are there ability to flinch,knockdown, knockback, shock, stun, lift/launch, status ailments, true super armor, the ability for skills to follow one another, like wyvernblade->stormblade, and the ability to prevent a jump recover all while maintaining damage from elements.So you want to increase the hit frequency of skills to be comparable to x-spam while including all of the factors they already have? If i recall correctly all melee classes still have there innate ability to flinch/knockback with chain combo's to some extent, overlords specifically being notorious for it, while all projectiles no longer flinching.

I'd personally like to see more of an attack boost for physical classes simply cause the majority of the classes have a larger DEF rate than MDEF rate, so physical scaling would be appreciated.

Thank you for your thought. I was thinking the community could review what skill could benefit the class. I know some skill change was happening and continue to be for the sake of fairness. For example i think that destroyer autoshot system can be improved by lower dmg but increase attk rate and amount of cannonball in change of lower dmg. This could be good in pve and pvp since in pve the dmg isnt so good, also it is pretty slow (opinion).

Going back to your thots tho, i think maybe it is possible to increase the number of hits while keeping the initial attack effect. For example sword dance can be change to hit 4x with lower dmg, but only the knockdown effect apply to the first hit. That way no abuse happen, idk if this is possible maybe mr popcorn can confirm. For skill class, this can be beneficial since they do not have muliple attk or x spam.

Please make this a possibility. This would improve the diversity of classes who participate in battlesquare and Emporia Wars. They won't be seen as a useless class and will feel more confident in joining both. Furthermore, this improves the pve capabilities of the classes that are not often as played as the x spamming classes. This is a GREAT IDEA. I support it 100%. You are going places my friend. I like this idea , although I would prefer it to be pvp only, I'd like pve to be more big hitting rather than based on elements also.

Nope. Not only that is technically not possible easily it's also not wanted to balance the classes this way.
