Well it's been fun! I came back to RO with 200m zeny after a very long hiatus, and will be disappearing until the cat race comes in

 

I used 200m to buy MCAs, which were super cheap compared to when I left, and I got a DR. So I sold the DR for 700 or something, and bought 45ish MCAs. Then I got a DR, and sold it around the same price, got another 45-50 MCAs, and so on. I did this about 7 or 8 times, and in total ended up opening a grand total of around 650-700 MCAs. My last DR went for 1.1b but apparently could have gone for 1.6, whaddayado!

 

I got x1 DR every time I opened 50 MCAs, except on one occasion when I got 2. The time after that I got 0. Then, to top it off, I went nuts and opened 120 MCAs this morning, and got 0.

 

The best tactic I found was to log out every time I opened 4. When I deviated from this, I got nothing! I.e. spamming them or opening a bunch all at the same time was a miserable fail. Being totally superstitious, sitting in my favourite spot in Eden Group, wearing my adventurer trusty towel and kissing birds hat seemed to work better. I also unequipped all my other gear, as I used to do whenever upgrading, just so the RO higher powers wouldn't scoff at me!

 

In case anyone cares for what I got, here are the rough numbers before I dropped all the low quality cards in south pront today. I also gave away 7 AA and x4 Angeling, so hope some of you got lucky out there!

 

NOTE: This is more or less an accurate list. Vended some cards here or there to buy the odd MCA. Also burnt some z on failed upgrading.

Note: a word from the wise, know when to stop! My last DR I committed not to sell (The 1.1b one) and wait for the cat race, then I sold it, burned all the zeny on those 120 MCAs (The final run), and ended up broke! I still have a bunch of GR/MP but as you all know, those can't be vended, which makes them a pain to offload and even give away.

Well, good for you, perseverance was your friend. I stopped buying MCAs months before NTF came in, and it was quite pricey at that time. I think it cost about 250m to sum up, and the worst part I just got -.- cards. The only card I decently sold was AA card. I am unlucky in gambling perhaps.

Point of thread is to share stats. Some find it useful . Also, I did mention give away a lot of items. I sell the drs to fund the giving away of all the other items

I opened 60 MCAs the other day and got a DR on my 50ish. Also 1 Angeling and bunch of junk. I spent roughly 1 b (avg 18m ea). DR is in high demand atm, but would have been kinda big loss in a different occasion. Point is we all know DR has the lowest rate. It's RNG. Btw selling the card for 1.5 b. Might as well just keep it :x

for me i got good card and 2 devi on a loading technique opening
