Cant play Classic full-screen. Help! Thanks xD

Help me please Cinnamon lol

 

It sucks because when I set my screen resolution at 1920 x 1080 x 16 and not full-screen, I can play Classic. The client window can be move around if I am not careful, however.
 
When I have it full-screen, then the client wont start. This "Cannot init d3d OR grf file has problem" error comes up again.

 

What the hell am I doing wrong here? xD

Hello,

 

Try this:

 

  1. Close every active RO client.
  2. Open your RO folder, Right click on Setup_Classic, choose Compatibility tab, under Compatibility mode choose Windows XP SP3.
  3. Under Settings on the same window choose Run this program as an administrator.
  4. Press Apply then OK.
  5. Open Setup_Classic as an admin.
  6. Configure the video settings, hit OK
  7. Launch the client, see if that resolves the issue.

I'm new here and was having the same problem but this solved the issue and I can finally play classic. Thanks!

 

Just wanted to add that I also set the Classic Launcher to use the same compatibility/admin options as the setup, maybe that'll work for some people as well.
