Plot twist: MDEF bypass won't work on boss monsters.

 

Seriously, though, anyone who knows about this item - no matter if it will be implemented in this next box or not - know how it works in this regard? Also, if they stack? They may bring back 2-handed staves to iRO!

I just meh on your IRO GM team. Keep implement OP items from JRO while denied and nerfed KRO items.

I have no idea. Fyukin was the one that first mentioned it, I guess... or was it Yama? I really wanted to know what this ring is called. Someone has a link for the item?

 

mdef bypass on normal mobs = KK and Celia now a joke then...

 

GDS and OBMH = KK and Celia already a joke. One-shot with Intensification, 2 shot without. So, what?

 

The difference between working on bosses or not is the difference between the item being godly or a complete trash.

that the jRO Magician's gloves. If they implement that, they better sells some MVP cards in cash shop also. -50% mdef, -10% cast time, 5% magic dmg on a single accessory slot is just... you know LOL

It basically invalidates the money-drain that was the RWC pendant/reset as well.

I do not believe we are getting this ragcan, as that seems new to jRO and also features MVP cards.

 

If it turns out we do get that box, and the mvp cards are in, I will probably quit playing, as I expect the ship to sink shortly there-after.

I know, hence the 'as well'. I just imagine many people would find it an egregious slap to the face if they spent dozens of real life dollars reseting the RNG joke that is the RWC accessories that are account bound and so cannot be vended to recoup any losses. 

 

I think moderating the 50% mdef pierce to like 10% and reducing the cast time to 5% would make it fine. 

 

Also, I think this is one of few items that buffs neutral magic damage (and so, will buff comet). 

 

Ironically, it will be better for sorcs than warlocks in that sense.

I think it would be ok if they made it 25% or 30% MDEF Bypass and completely took out the cast reduction and the slot (though I'd love to put elviras on these :D). It would be enough to make them balanced and make Two-Handed Staves great again. 10% MDEF bypass will simply cripple them in relation to all OP great stuff that other classes have received already, and would make them probably best in slot as they are, but won't change the state of spellcasters which can already build 100% MDEF bypass for some races, and deal more damage wearing shields than wielding a risky 2H staff.

10~15% mdef bypass againts everything(mvp included), and keeping the other effects and slot sounds more than fair to me. It would still very likely be the BiS gear for magic dmg but wouldnt be by such a great advantage to others(like sapphire wrist vs other accs for gene), and getting small pieces of mdef penetration here and there, and having to make different combinations to achieve different amounts on each race, is a much more healthly aproach than just straight up blowing the entire mechanic in a single gear.

With 2 for example you can ditch Piercing Staff and use like a crimson rod, or ditch the obmh and use piercing staff+ zaha doll hat. Or use one of those+ Tsod and reach same mdef bypass but with some delay reduction, etc.

Still Rod + Shield > 2H Staff always. :v

 

SFB will keep being obsolete when launched. :v

 

Also, the TSoD you mentioned will have to be TSoD [1], which we don't have. :v

EDIT: Hey, I just got an idea.

 

MDEF bypass 10%

Combo with Staff of Destruction, Mora Staves, Crimson Staff or Sunflower Boy: (or any two-handed staff? really...)
Adittional 25% MDEF bypass (since this won't stack with each other)

 

How does it sound? It will increase the number of situations in which a 2H Staff will be better than a 1H with shield.

This edit in the effect looks fair enough for me as well, must be admited that the 50%- 10% cast reduc and 5% elemental dmg increase is too much xD.
