guys a magic stalker with lots of DEX and INT

 

its magic damage will be much lower than that of a high wizard?

 

because of the lack of gear

 

i'm new on the server and dont have too much zeny

 

so i can't afford expensive stuff

 

but for instance, to level with cold or fire bolt, or storm gust maybe

 

my magic damage will be too low?

 

or is it not much worse than magical classes?

 

i'm used to renewal servers, so i'm kind of lost

 

a magic stalker is a good idea?

 

i thought of an elemental sword but seems way too expensive for me now

It's much lower then a wizard. I forget if it's possible to 1hko goats, but even then it's slow.

I'd personally just go bowling bash to 99/70

and bowling bash with a bow its damage would be similar to a knights one?

 

whats bothering is i couldnt wear shield with bow

You could turn undead some anubis. If you had some zeny you could make it easier with resurrection lvl 1 and the thief card set (the paper makes it pricy).

Build it like a knight and use a twinblade or go to ID3 with unfrozen wind armor and an ice pick.

 

I think that darkabe's advice is the best for the most cost effective leveling means (cheapest while being decently fast). For solo play BB all the way, but requires more zeny. You can also consider buying a leech if you have the funds.

 

Don't worry about being a magic stalker. You can always do a stat/skill reset once you hit 99/70.

Yes. Mage type Stalkers are the best build in classic IMO, it's also fun to play in PVP because Insta-cast is easily attainable, you can also use Grand Cross for burst damage.
