Greetings folks

So, long story short, I'm on my way to making money on my to-be Gene and Ranger, and I was wondering... SC has interested me since I've read up and seen some stuff on it, but the iRo wiki descriptions make it feel very half-baked for PvM/MvPing etc. How accurate is that? Would I just be "better off" running around as my Gene for eternity, or would there be a chance for a SC to do well enough to warrant it too?

I'd just rather not dump money in something that seems fun but will be fruitless without such an overwhelming amount of money -stares at his SN-.

Aside from that, any tips and tricks if it does turn out to be more fruitful would be great since aside from their basic theme, I have not much of an idea of how they really play or what they do.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

As of now, unless woe, SC PVM is mainly for fun, you may get insane damage but still more fun since the rest of the classes' damage reaches madness

Not a good PVM investment. Not as horrible as a joke as it used to be, but still absolutely sub par.

You can level to 150ish just fine with a relatively conventional archer build, physical build, or magic build. After that, things get weird as the enemies' HP increases 100-150% and so what took you 1-2 casts to kill now takes 4-5 casts to kill. This coupled with the SP costs increase makes it a total pain in the ass, not to mention the lack of class specific gear that certain builds basically require.

Long story short, only do it out of interest for fun/curiosity/whatever.

In due time, from what I can tell, they will have a role in MVPing beyond current sucker punch setups. One thing I'll say is that feint bomb is a legitimate leveling skill, but requires heavy stat investment and a strong (ideally, bow) weapon (crimson bow is very good.)

Ahh, I see. Thanks you two.

In that case I'm better off amassing money on my Gene/Ranger before attempting to do this.
