What exactly did you do? :unsure:

i downloaded doram.exe

change patch.inf and patch2

cleared my internet explorers caches and history

restarted computer

downloaded iro 2016 zip file

now trying to reinstall the game

Doram.exe? I'm assuming you mean the new installer from the website. If that is so, you do not have to download the patch.inf and do not change the patch2.txt file.

Since you mentioned re-installing the game, again if its the new installer, only get the Doram Update File (and nothing else) I linked and transfer the contents to your game folder after running an AV scan. Make sure to set Ragexe and Ragnarok.exe to run as an administrator by default from the Properties menu. Run the game and once it is done packing and is successful, log into the game and see if your issue is resolved. I can confirm that the new installer does not have the Doram Update. What it does is, start downloading the patches from yesterday's maintenance which is much better than starting from February 2016.

 

Edit: I can see why you got the patch2.txt file. The reply from Axylus was specific to balugajaimee's problem.
