When catching lambs the slot reel won't go away after using taming rope, i'm having to relog each time just to clear reel off screen

The quest is not bugged. Its more of an error on your side. I had the same issue as well. I could not find a way to solve it since I couldn't figure out what exactly went wrong in the first place. So I re-installed the game. I even transferred the backup folders I saved one by one, each time, testing a tame out to see if the counter was bugged. At the end, after all was said and done, none of them seemed to cause the issue but the problem was solved after the re-install. So maybe try that out. They released a new installer so you don't have to sit through that many patches as well. Just backup the important folders like Screenshot, Whisper, Chat, AI, Replay, Savedata etc., and transfer them back to get your old settings from the get-go.
