no need to redo quest, it can be swapped to different char under same account through kafra storage

when you wear the ring, you can indeed understand "them".

Yes, you can understand sapha and laphine language

but to be noted, dungeon access like scaraba 2 which is opened through quest clearing will be not accessible through this method for characters that's not yet clearing the quest.

also for certificate quest in dicastes wont work, but you can still access the town through the el dicastes skills just for taking bounty board

1 ring of wise king can be used across all character in one account for el dicastes quest. while for manuk and splendide quests not, you need every char in your account to finish the wise king ring quest.

It does work. I did some dailies on my Gene that was using my AB's interpreter ring. No problem at all.

Im doing the two tribes quest *with the borrowed ring*

but its in their language. not english. which i cant complete the quest without the english text.

 

At the begining. with this npc and i spoke to others in the town but its gibberish.

 

In the main village area, enter the first hut on the right side

(splendide 228, 162)

, Arc (Guard Fairy) will stop you at first, but you can speak to him again and he will introduce himself. Offer to help him look for his friend. He tells you his friend frequently ties knots in weeds to leave a trail.

Lets say character1 did the quest and got ring1

And character2 also did the quest and got ring2.

 

Can character1 use ring2 to speak to them properly or does it have to be the ring1 *his own*?

What I caught from both of your previous conversations was that, you can reuse the previous Ring of Ancient Wise King and Light of Dicastes if you had cleared the associated prerequisite quests before in the original item's owner character to retake any El Dicastes Quests, which including daily w/o have to do their prerequisite quests again in other characters under the same account, e.g Directly taking department daily quest w/o have to do sapha's visit again or scaraba lvl 2 access w/o doing sapha's visit and doha's secret orders again on borrowing characters. NVM, It looks like I misunderstood the previous conversations that you both only mean it would bypass the quest for ring of ancient wise king only, but still have to do other prerequisite quests

Ring of Wise King quest is a prerequisite quest for Two Tribes. That NPC guard fairy (Arc) will indeed continue to speak gibberish even if you're wearing Ring of Wise King if you haven't done the Ring of Wise King quest with the character you're on.

 

(I did Two Tribes quest with every character on my account to get coins to try for slotted stat gloves, found this out early on).
