So I have been doing some basic formula workings for magical dorams, silvervine stem spear is pretty straight forward but catnip meteor is slightly off.

floor[floor[floor[floor[floor[StatusMATK * MATK%] * PropertyBonus] * PropertyDamage] * SkillDamage] - SoftMDEF * SkillModifier]
  • PropertyBonus (like Fruit Pom Spider Card)
  • PropertyDamage (like Elvira Card)
  • SkillDamage (700% or 7 times damage from Stem Spear)
  • SoftDEF (static reduction from damage)
  • SkillModifier (like Shining Branch accessories)

This formula calcs stem spear perfectly but not catnip meteor, it seems to behave differently (but only ever so slightly), also please bear with me as this is not a complete formula but you gotta start with the basics and I never bothered with MATK in the past.

I would love for others to share their findings, I am going to focus some time and effort to developing a doram damage calc (both physical and magical) at some point soon.

EDP taught me there is a method to the madness, it's just a can of worms that no one really wants to open, but CNM is sometimes perfect sometimes slightly off, I honestly have no idea what triggers it :X

no hard mdef?

I am testing on eggs, so they don't have it to test with. Basics first always :U

That was one surprisingly accurate guess, the ratio

It was, and this CNM formula is frustrating. Just when you think you have a pattern, BOOM, it works out perfectly.

Why kRO why :U

How far off is it? Is it only a few damage off, or quite noticeably off?

like 2 ~ 3 damage for figures between 2000~4500. Didn't try anything above because I decided to have a break.

Have you tried changing the order of your multiplications? Even though they SHOULD be commutative, the flooring at every step could cause problems.

Problem was I did try the ordering if things, and at the 2000~4500 range the floors still added up correctly. The only thing I can think of is that maybe some of the MATK% may be different.
