1. Does this skill reduce stat by a flat amount or by percentage?

2. Is level 1 enough if you just need it to slow down enemies?

Even tho is only neccesary at lvl 1 i highly suggest getting it maxed at later lvls, because it affect mvps aswell giving a huge penalty on some mvps hit, making your sw last a lot longer. You wont have better skills to put points tho when you get to warlock.

The server I'm playing on is an official server with renewal mechanic, but it's still in episode 1. Is it worth getting level 5 Quagmire as a Wizard? I plan to do both MvP and WoE.

 

FYI: We use classic exp table, and the monsters have classic hp, exp, and spawn location. And there will probably be no stat/skill reset ever. 

 

I also need help to plan the skill build for my second wiz. This is my current plan for her.

 

MAGE

Sight 1

Fire Bolt 10

Cold Bolt 5, Frost Diver 1

Lightning Bolt 4, Thunderstorm 1

Stone Curse 1

Napalm Beat 7, Soul Strike 5, Safety Wall 10

 

4 points left.

 

WIZARD

Jupitel Thunder 10

Storm Gust 10

SIghtrasher 2, Meteor Storm 10

Earth Spike 3, Heaven's Drive 1, Quagmire 1

 

12 points left.

 

Where do you think should I invest the rest of my skill points to? I won't be doing PvM with her, only MvP and WoE. For PvM, I already have my trapper hunter one shotting Anolian and Evil Druid.

Wow well, if thats the case then yeah, probably leave quag at low level, probably when you get 3rd patch you will get a free reset because The skills change a little bit wjen you get to wl, because most wl skills really do much much better than wiz skills.

Thank you for all your replies. My hunter is 40% to 99. I'll begin leveling my wizard soon.

 

I've decided to get Ice Wall level 1 and Sense so my build have 10 points left. I have some ideas how to spend those points. I need your help to decide.

 

A

LoV 10

 

B

LoV 5

Frost Nova 5 -or- Water Ball 5 -or- Heaven's Drive 5

 

C

LoV 1

Frost Nova 9 -or- Frost Nova 5 -or- Water Ball 5 -or- Heaven's Drive 5

 

1. Is level 1 Ice Wall enough for MvP? Should I have more than level 1?

2. Is it worth getting level 1 or 5 LoV? Should I leave the skill unlearned if I don't intend to max it?

3. Is it worth getting level 5 Frost Nova? Should I leave the skill unlearned if I don't intend to max it?

4. Is Water Ball good for MvP or WoE? We don't have 2-2 classes yet so no Sage/Deluge, but they will come here eventually.

5. Is level 5 Heaven's Drive worth getting?

Frost nova is a must on bRO, in iRO with lacryma and Pororoca's, I would strongly consider it.

 

As for Ice Wall, outside of Cheffenia (Bossnia?) level 1 is good enough, but you WILL need practice. I solo all kinds of stuff with my warlock, even bio lab 4 instance and while IW doesn't work in instances, for non instanced content you'll rarelly need more than 1, but since it require practice some people hate level 1.

 

Don't get LoV, it's crap.

Pororoca can't be used by (High) Wizards. It requires level 100 for use.

I've decided to give up LoV (there's another wiz in my guild with max LoV) and Water Ball (it's too situational). That leave me with 2 options.

 

A

Frost Nova 10

Heaven's Drive 5
 
Is Heaven's Drive good against wind MvP? Or should I just use Fire Bolt/Meteor Storm? I think there's only 1 wind mvp in this episode, Mistress.

How many levels of Ice Wall do you recommend? My build already have level 1 Ice Wall.

 

It's actually veery good for Ice Dun 03 leveling.

Since my server is still in episode 1, we have very limited leveling spots. Only available maps to level til 99 are Glastheim, Turtle Island, Anolian, Clock Tower. Also, the map is very crowded. Every 12 cells there's a 12 manned party camping.

 

The server I'm playing on is an official server with renewal mechanic, but it's still in episode 1. We use classic exp table, and the monsters have classic hp, exp, and spawn location.

We also have no exp penalty/bonus based on monster level difference. And there's no fixed cast time. Everything else use renewal mechanic.

 

Anyway, I finally 99'ed my trapper hunter. I'm leveling my wiz now, she's still a mage. Thank you for all your replies! It's been a great help.

Depending on the map you are using higher lvls of ice wall can be very usefull for soloing, if you use it to trap monsters in the wall cell, or just cage them with it.
