im tired of not being able to sell these cards specifically!

For the original system. There're 4 services.
- 1m zeny : Very high chance of failure.
- normal lubricant > 36 silvervines : Lower the chance of failure.
- high rank lubricant > 56 silvervines : Further lower the chance of failure.
- Silit Pong > 192 silvervines : 100% success, MVP only.

Failure, can be happened more than one thing from following list.
- refine rate is reduced as random amount.
- gear destroyed.
- card destroyed.

In case of Jeremy. Enchantment always be reset even desocket with Silit Pong.

When you use the most expensive lubricant, you get to keep your gear and the MvP card.

Jeremy can't do shields or weapons, right?

In KRO and TRO, yes. Richard does that part.
In IRO I don't know.

You need to get over your old way of doing things.

Even d2 lets you desocket runes to let you keep the gear.

Sure, but D2 base gear isn't the same as RO ones, and you know it :X

I know, but it's about making changes and moving on from how we use to do things.

It's really NOT a big deal that people will get their gears back from decarding mvps. I find it more helpful than anything and it shouldn't punish people even more for decarding their mvp stuff. After all, they're using real money to get it done. If it was through zeny, sure we can get rid of the gear. But getting back gear and MvP will definitely be helpful to a lot of people I know that will be using it.

Wish they'd add in a way to remove a card but keep the gear...for those times you accidentally put the wrong card in an expensive gear, without this bs of a chance of failure.  If you're desoceting something to get the card back, there should be no failure.   If you're trying to get the gear back and no card, there should be no failure. If you're having to use extra stuff bought through KP(SIlverine and such) there should be 0 chance of failure.  We already have the chance of failure UPGRADING things, removing something shouldn't fail at all.  Trying to get BOTH back, I can understand a chance of failure or level degrade, but come on...

This game lacks consequences, destroying the gears on decarding helps keep at least one consequential portion to it.

You wanted to note how D2 saves the base gear?

Yes it does, because in D2 the base gears mean little to nothing unless ethereal. When you use the unsocket recipe, it destroys the actual important items, the runes (or gems if you so use them).

In RO, both the gear and card can hold weight. A Cylinder Headband with a KK Card in it has a card that is worth something for sure, but the fact is it's a stupid card for putting in the headband; this headband is now devalued due to a poor choice and as such, it's now less wanted over a clean version.

A sharp6 white wing suit is awesome, but if carded with a Succubus Card is pretty damn useless. But now people can spend what is a very small fraction of a price to restore an item's value from about 900m to arounbd 4b, so yay?

The game is killing any form of true consequence, and people don't give a -_-.

You only keep the armor 100% when decarding an MvP card

Some of us suffer the true forms of consequences, when something has a % chance of failure, and is thereby considered RNG, because those of us who have horrible RNG luck, ALWAYS fail at what we're trying to do for upgrading/enchanting(and now desoceting).  To say that the game kills any form of "true consequence," is just flat out false.

Right, consequences that can turn people away.

Using your example of a cylinder, that's worth 1b. No one will be happy having to decard the KK out of it because that is essentially throwing away 1b. It's just not a positive thing and I wouldn't want to give players a reason to get even more upset.

Don't get me wrong, we do lack consequences and in turn we lack a lot of challenge in this game. But this goes back to how the game is changing and the players need to adapt for better or worse. We shouldn't be running the game for them. I stopped caring about what the GMs do because it's their game. I see the trend and I'm doing whatever I can to adapt.

Also, feel free to PM me if you want to join a run of Bio4.

I have a feeling that players will start doing shenanigans with the npc again and go back to duping cards within a few weeks.  How certain are you that the npc script is working as intended this time?

We have safe refine methods. We will be getting safe enchant methods, even though we already have plenty as is. And now we may get to keep an item based on an NPC, Myzery mentioned the bit about it being an MVP card only, but how does this NPC do such a thing? Does it follow a list of IDs? Or does it just mean the expensive option saves it. If it is the latter, then it does screw us over.

RNG is what it is, and it is part of this game. Either get rid of it entirely or use it and let the players deal with the consequences.

There is a trend being set, it won't be good in the long run but yeah, I also stopped caring since OSCP1, however, every so once and a while it surges up to the point where you gotta say something.

The GMs are pretty good at cracking down on dupes now. The majority of the Chinese dupe sites ceased selling cards a good while ago.

No risk and all rewards makes a game very boring after a while. But on the other hand, too much risk for little reward makes a game very unsatisfying. There needs to be a balance to keep players interested, otherwise the game stops being a game and more like a menial job.

Finally, thank you.

What are the actions if a sample comes up bad? I hope no one is going to be banned over GM error.
We all know that the support team doesn't have the best track record of being punctual when investigating.

So meaning if a dupe card was decarded? Then they probably will delete it.
