Patch notes should have had a line like this:

 

"Lowered success rates on the Connect to Server mini-game."

Even log in is RNG based gambling? come on...gimme a break!

Generally speaking I fix most server issues. Such as a zone crashing etc. But if I cannot fix it then we call in the IT department.

This. Look at the spike in population over this weekend compared to the weekends prior to it (ROPD link: https://ropd.info/?mode=spop).

well if this helps any, the problem seems to occur only while going through warps/teleports etc. If you are standing still doing nothing and not changing areas it seems to be fine. so i guess the only ones still online right now are merchants and slackers?  probably

Eh, unexpected early wake-up calls are part of the job I guess.

And yeah, I had a theory that a lot of the d/c's and server probs have stemmed from the influx of slimebag botters when Doram was implemented.  An increase in the

That is because it is the character select server that is down and not the zone/map servers. When you change maps, your connection string information is forward back to the character select server so your client can get the IP of the new zone server you are to connect to.
