I am a level 45 specialist and just tried doing the glast heim boss solo, I died pretty fast thought =/  

  

Can someone tell me a good strategy how to beat him solo? Also I dont understand how I am supposed to dodge his attack with the ball targetting me.  

A quick run down would be much appreciated!

unless you have good equipment you need either a good equiped partner in your level or a high level player with dmg

Yup since you're lv45 it's too difficult to try Glast Heim in the first place... I doubt if few pieces of +20 armor would even able save me as lv45 Best strategy is to level up to lv60+ and get high decent health and defend gear. . If you don't have any just ask someone higher level than you (60+) with good gear to go with you ;-;believe me It's pretty pointless to go Glast Heilm anyway

Highly Recommend getting one of the +20 back IM pieces that gives armor. If you don't; this is how I did it: Have a lot of cake ready. Place down spells that do dmg over time and other than that only use attacks that doesn't lock you in an animation for very long (unless you know you can get away with it). Keep the boss close to either side of the room and try not to corner yourself. You want to leave yourself with a lot of room to run away from the insane orbs, You can't dodge them, but they only travel so far. Having a bit of luck helps tremendously as well.

 

 

I haven't solo'd him as Specialist at your level, yet, but I might try it soon.

Trying to solo hard bosses with low gear is some of the most fun aspects of this game, in my opinion, but as the others have said, maybe going as a group is best for now.
