all these jokers aside, neo punk is likely your best bet. here's why:
MBS is an attack type shield with 0 defense (unless you upgrade it) and no resistance. so right off the bat you know you really dont want something resist-wise in that shield. not if you can help it anyway, not yet. MBS has attack/matk/crit and is a phen without the cast increase when 12'd, so its a shield mainly used for attacking classes. for these reasons, you want to match an attack/matk-based shield with an attack/matk-based card for more dmg.
neo punk is part of a 2-part attack/penetration card set for formless & demon. big bell and big ben are the physical and magical counterparts of neo punk. because of this, you can use multiple different weapons to combo with that shield. i use neo punk MBS on flash combo sura, doram, and sometimes gen, but you could use it on other chars for sure. the weapons you will have to make separately of course, but the shield is always the same once you have it.
the main reason i would choose neo punk over nightmare arclouse is because when you take end-game leveling into account, there's just better and more leveling spots that feature either all demon, all formless, or mixes of both. the only undead place i ever travel to at 175 is OGH.. and the bosses are so easy w/ aspersio that its not even worth putting money into.
a hodremlin is better served on a valk or immune shield to stack the def/resist that the shield innately has on its own. but as a second MBS shield, and depending on whether or not you mvp, hodremlin and alice cards are also good choices. my first choice was hodrem but only because neo punk didnt come into the game until a few months later. now i have one alice, one hodrem, and one neo punk.
