IRO1 Classic Weekly Maintenance

March 23rd

2pm -6pm

 

Quests

  • The next new Headgear quest, the Chicken Hat, is available. Speak to Frank in Morocc (156, 194). Certificates can be found in the treasure caches.
    • To create this headgear you'll need the following:
      • 20 Yggdrasil Seeds
      • 100 Monster's Feed
      • 200 Pieces of Egg Shell
      • 300 Feather of Birds
      • 1000 Zeny
      • 1 Chicken Hat Certificate

 

Events

  • 50% EXP  and Drops event ends today!
  • February Lucky Box continues for one more week!
  • Saint Patrick's Day event continues!

 

Spotlight

  • Instead of spotlighting a specific zone, we're doing something different this time. We're spotlighting all the fish based monsters. We feel this will scale better to player levels. Fin. Monsters affects are:

Will Saint Patrick's Day event be fixed ? I mean some people have died in the shadow Hugel and cannot finish the quest.

Also, may I ask for the slotted St. Patrick's Hat ?)

KVM and its implementation to game also why can you use tribal solidarity and emperiums inside a castle several skills are not alllowed yet this passes though

He exists though he may not be an active spawn at the moment. The list is just comprehensive for all creatures affected.

From my understanding the hat that is given is appropriate. So, if it's no slot now, it'll still be no slot.

Well that's ridiculous because the past versions gave a slot and they are best in slot for some classes. Meaning you're helping feed a gear imbalance by refusing to have slotted ones available again.

I did the quest 8 times to try to make the hat +8 and only after finishing the last hat I saw that had no slot.  :sob:  :sob:

Yeah, we should really have a rough draft (with a planned implementation date) at least to discuss the implementation of KvM at this point. It was a significant balance patch back in the day. Creating guilds in castles needs to be discussed as well.

cant you just make it so emps cant be consumed which prevents a guild for being made? similiar to the db flag that is

I'm not sure if it is that simple since you don't really "use" the emperium, it just gets consumed when you use the /guild command. However, it should be possible to disable Tribal Solidarity in castles, which would at least prevent the leveling of newly created guilds.

well i was hoping it might break something harmlessly in the code but yeah that would work as well

getting autokicked when leaving a guild is good 2

Just kill them, they can't be allied - it's just as risky as being guildless since they can't ally. (plus they're standing there clicking tribes and guild skills and typing "/guild lolugotrolled" so it should be easy enough to handle. )

 

it's no less stupid than people bypassing the kick restrictions with alts outside, so they can have an emblemless dps.

You can just hotkey the command and tribals so it only takes a second to do. As you mentioned, yes it is a drawback that they can't ally, and it's a drawback that guildless characters can be killed by their friends, and it's supposed to be a drawback that they can't break the emperium.

Yep, plus their friends don't kill them.

It's difficult for us to catch up to someone and kill them when they can flag in and then break in under 10 seconds.

But they can break stones and barricades as well as players soooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

 

 

I don't even know why you all are bringing this up, it hasn't been used in a long time. On saturday we actually escorted a guild full of non trans to the brit 4 emp and defended whilst they slowly broke it, so if that's what it's about.... very silly.

ditto mindbreaker, such a powerful thing shouldn't be so easy to do.
 (mbk is more than hibram)

 

in some servers (but not iRO) there is actually the option to abandon your castle. I feel like the server really needs that option due to the imbalance between the guilds. Right now everything is low econ for a reason.

 

anyway there's a finite number of emps/tribes on the server. If a guild wants to ruin their own castle, who cares? There's not enough defending that happens on classic anyway and no real reason to hold any castle regardless. Some guilds even inherited enough god items that they wont pursue their own.

 

That's the real problem imo, lack of reasons to defend/have a real fight. Frankly I'm happy just fighting on the door of any castle all woe then taking end forts, but I'd rather there was a reason to actually have a fight. If there was, then there wouldn't be this pointless sort of running Romeu through a fort on a new guild to break it then disband happening.

 

You guys are pushing for the wrong fix.

At this time there are no plans to implement KVM on the classic server.

So basically your saying we can only have part of the original 13.2 patch from 2008 of the original game "clap clap" you do know there's a server offering 2week rental gears and a 99/70 instant char for woe and you can actually pay to transfer it to the main server for just some time/money

GMs can you give us a reason as to why KVM will not be implemented it is a standard part of the game for years now why has iRO Classic server exclude it?
