Well tell us how you wish to play your character. PvP or PvM, or both?

Sorry about that. I was on my phone when I wrote that. I'd be open to both, It's been forever since I have played and I'd like to try everything.

Assassin is a purelly offensive focused class. It is still quite tanky because of it's high hp pool and can still wear bunch of reductions if you want, but the class toolkit, the gears for them, their buffs etc are all damage and damage and damage focused. The final evolution, Guillotine Cross, currently sits at the throne of the highest possible dps in the game, and is a very good class to farm.
Rogues are the famous Jack of All Trades, Master of None. They are versatile and wich playstyle they can have, you can use melee weapons, use Bows, or go a magic route. They can copy a skill from other classes and focus the build around it(in their trans evolution they get a skill that prevents losing that skill). On later evolutions it gains some of the best pvp debuffs in the game, making them the highest annoyance of pvp scenario. They dont exactly have the ability to kill you but can render you absolutely useless and defenseless. They are not as good offensively as GXes(barely no one is, really) but have some of the most fun builds to use, as the 3rd job allows you to copy one more skill from other classes, now allowing 3rd job skills. Keep in mind that in general their performance is lacking compared to other classes on pvm, and requiring higher zeny investment than said classes to try to catch up.

Is a dagger rogue/stalker still a viable way to farm, say, high value loot like refining ores and cards/gear?
Was planning on building one just to farm with between grinding up my higher lvl sprites

Is PVP in RO WoE or something else? I've no idea. I've always learned towards more PvE when it comes to MMO's. I like the way assassins look and the weapons they use. It's not like I can't make another thief and make it a Rogue if I landed up making her a sin.

(SCs can actuallt kill in pvp rooms(not much woe) using Rapid Throw, a Kagerou/Oboro copied skill that consumes 100k zeny to deal 50~100k not reduceable damage(only reduced by very few means))

Hmm, i don't anticipate I will be PVP'ing all the time. I was told I might have a hard time finding a group for TI if I made her a sin. That's what made me want to ask questions before I class changed her.

both rogue and assassin will likely have the same issues on TI parties, but GX will be able to solo various of the monsters compositions with ease

Aside from the early thief levels (which aren't really a problem anymore with the renewal exp curve) leveling my bow rogue was a breeze, going for an auto spell bow build eventually and it's been cake so far (currently an 86 Stalker) just start with 40 dex then balance dex and agi and get a hybrid weapon (sidewinder card) or chick hat for double attack and ninja suit/shinobi sash early on and you should be good for awhile till you can afford better gear
Never had a sin/sinx before but i have one in the works, I'm guessing that'll be my best bet for a farm char then since it seems the old gank rogue method only seems to viable if you're a bot farmer, and well, just no -.-
