What exactly would I need to be able to solo Scaraba F2 as a 130 Sura? I'm not currently a TC/FC build, but a RB/RD build. Would I need to reset to an TC build, and is there any place I could level as a 130 RB/RD Sura?

Scaraba ? i think i started to lv in scaraba at lv 128 
you could try small scaraba or maybe the bounties for the outside of el discastes 
RB is really strong skill, just if you build correctly
even Salamander ( any mobs with 100k++ hp ) is 1shot2easy4u if you are using this build
 
coupled with Lightning Ride,
this skill is also Beast, wind convert for neutral mobs like in Verus  ( to water monster/mvps =   )
when Hawkeye procs, it goes Insta Cast and murder everything 
Lv 3 already hit 80k to water monsters,
could get it to lv 5 first but i chose to get lv 5 Convert

one of my suras, the low lvl one lvled using this build RB/LR from 100 to 140
currently in menblatt, 142
 

no mvp, no god, no converter

but now since i dont have enough time to play anymore

i just afk and chat  
 
the only problem ?
this skill has 5 secs cooldown in iRO ( current patch ) while in kRO on bio5 update, we get the headgear and it reduces the cd to 1 secs
, increases the damage further more
 
unlike TC/FC that you need target and tank multiple monsters while doing consecutive combo, this skill gives you freedom to use
same with lightning ride, you can snap and kite them, really easy

Ahh, thanks Silvianna and Doom! I was curious about whether anyone had any experience with different builds. But Silvi, I am level 132 and hitting nowhere close to numbers like that! 

I think I am averaging about 30k. What on earth can I do to bump the damage up? XD Is it still considered ranged? That might make a big difference... I have no ranged % mods.

Yup they are Ranged attack, RB,LR, Howling Lion and Knuckle Arrow 

you need Expert Archer gears for these skills, 120 dex if you want, mine still 100 tho

my primary stats 120 str, 100 dex, the rest int and vit

but at least you need 80-100 int, it is if you  want to reduce LR cast time by using stats not using spell% gears

first you need GT Convert, make sure to get max lvl 

 

FAW with menblatt card for the garment,

 

Temporal str with ea4 and hawkeye enchant, you could use Bp but Hawkeye is good for LR damage and cast time

Temporal Dex gives 5% more ranged atk if you have 120 dex, but im pretty sure, if the refine above +9

Temporal Str bonus gives better damage rather than 5% ranged atk,

 

for weapon, im using +15 Crimson Mace with 2x AS cards, 

but i have tested somehow with +9 Erde ea10 2x AS deal almost same damage with +15 C.Mace 2x AS, the difference is not that big

high refined Robot Arm is the best one for sure,

im not sure about Quadrille, if we can enchant it with ea, maybe that is the best weapon for RB 

 

armor,  Bryn or +9 Elemental Tights

 

low and mid, Tengu Set or love piece / toy syringe and robo eyes

 

top headgear, +9 Evil Marching Hat dark pingu

 

accessories, 2x bakos or pendant of maelstorm, anything you want

if you can afford to rent 2x megs, do it then

 

madbunny for the shield

 

 +7~10 Kingbird Shadow Set

 

see, the cooldown is around 1 secs

Thanks for this actually, I've been leveling my Sura lately and I don't really want to go Combo route, so a lot of this was good. I imagined Howling and Lightning were ranged, but no Rampage Blaster, that's interesting. I was thinking about doing a 120 STR and 120 DEX with 100 agi and vit to do a "full build" on all the physical skills, but maybe I should leave that for later on, your idea is quite good for leveling right now.

That is why i said i can also one shot salamander and kasa, easy lvling in their map,

actually this is also the benefit of RB/LR skills

of course, with TC/FC you can also one shot them but can you withstand the reflected damage ?? No right

 

RB is ranged atk, means cant be reflected ( except from Celine Kimi's power up )

im sure with KvM and maybe GTB you could  solo or even act as bio4 killer

since you can hit anything without worrying the monster reflect your damage especially Randel,

havent tried it yet, still buseeeh with irl

to one shot them, i believe you will need 2x Megs and Robot Arm with 2x formless cards

it is same with TC setup, while for TC/FC you will need Tao, i have tried this

 

i havent tried it yet using this build tho, still 142 and buseh, you guys try it 

 

but i have planning to use Lightning Ride to lvl in NCT, just shoot them from afar 

based on my experience to kill mobs with huge hp, you could finish them off using LR

like RB->snap away->Zen->Lightning Ride to finish them, or just LR them to death

example in Bifrost Tower, when i use converter to kill one mob, i cant one shot the others, leaving them with like 20% hp

so i use this combo

 

Lv 5 LR has 7x7 AoE, 1 secs cast delay means you can spam it by using some gears, 

if you are using wind converter, the formula goes like this at lv 150 (1000+(250x5)x1.5 = 3375% 

which is higher than RB at lv 120

and 6 secs variable cast time , you can reduce it to 0.3 secs if you have 140ish int and 160ish dex

seems impossible but actually really easy to get

let's say example : 167 Dex

120 base dex, +10~15 from your Blessing / AB's Clementia, +20 from foods, +7 from VIP and +5 from your Job bonus ( job lv 41++ )

120 + 42 = 162 your own blessing

120 + 47 = 167 AB's blessing ( AB with job lv 50 )

now lets say 167 Dex 144 Int

lets look for cast time formula

 

Cast Time (seconds) = VCT + FCT

Cast Time (seconds) = 6 secs  ( lv 5 LR ) + 0 

VCT (seconds) = BaseVCT × (1 − SQRT[{DEX × 2 + INT} ÷ 530]) × (1 − Sum_VCTReduc ÷ 100)

VCT = 6 x ( 1 - SQRT ( 167 x 2 + 144 ) ÷ 530 x 1 ( since you just want to reduce it by stats )

VCT = 6 x ( 1 - 0.95 ) x 1 ( if you have 10% cast time reduction , it goes to 0.9 not 1, if 40% total cast reduction means 0.6 not 1)

VCT = 0.3 secs 

 

btw the reason why im using high int, ( 85 base int now )

Rising Dragon with high sp <3

not mention im using Gfist for mvping 

 Note :

- iROWiki formula for wind convert Lightning Ride is wrong, not (1000+250)% but (1000+(skill lv x 250%)

- iROWiki description for Rampage Blast is "Inflicts Physical Damage to all enemies in a 7x7 area around the user" actually it is Ranged Physical Damage,

this is misleading

LR isn't affected by dex, and hasn't been for years.  The only thing it benefits from dex is when you have EA gears/Range damage % increase gears that increase ranged damage based on dex, otherwise dex itself plays no part in it's cast nor really it's overall damage.  Best boots to use for it would actually be Bear power instead of hawkeye, you'd get a whole lot more damage out of it coupled with base stat dex and your gear attack/character str. Currently my sura(for leveling only) is 130, and his LR does about 10k(yeah pathetic but i don't have the ranged bonus gears I need) with his str/vit at 90 and dex at 82.  level 4 RPB for me(with 15 spheres) does anywhere from 12 to 22k damage, and it literally doubles when bear power triggers, for both attacks.  I tried with hawkeye, damage increased by about 1.5k.  If you don't have Uber EA/Menblatt, then go with Bear's Power instead of Hawkeye.

i have to disagree because i have tested it.

Dex definitely affects the cast time...

 

 

... but wind endow definitely doesn't increase LR damage by 250% per skill level.

hmmmm im not sure about that, i can do test later, 

 

i dont know exact formula but by the looks of it, extra damage from wind element is not  250%, higher than that.

it may or may not be affected by the base lvl scaling, most likely

just use the skill with 0 gears on eggs, your damage will be status atk*2 *skill% -5

Was tested on eggs naked with only a +0 rwc staff (low atk to avoid variance) and no gears/buffs other than eden +7 vip buffs on a 175 char with the skill maxed. 

 

Without wind converter = 6.7k, with wind converter = 8.8k (on neutral egg).

 

Likely it is influenced by the base level scaling, but it's definitely not 250*5 which would more than double your damage.

dont use weapons for these stuff, its far easier :T (unless you can use the skill without one, then use the lowest atk lv1 weapon possible)

I actually mistyped in my previous post, it was not the RWC memory mace (that has 100 base atk), it was the RWC memory staff (25 base atk).

 

Anyway, I picked it because I was unsure if a wind converter would apply without a weapon. Its atk is low enough that it couldn't account for that much variance in damage. 

 

I had one sitting in storage, otherwise I would have used an NPC bought level 1 weapon. I am familiar with how to test atk, m8.

That RB damage is insane. Can you list down the gears you used?

As for the thread, I'll try to make a replay later of me leveling my 142 sura in Scaraba (LR/RB build).

That is some crazy damage. The fact that it's achievable is both encouraging (huge numbers can be reached), it's also discouraging (not sure if I can ever achieve such astronomical numbers). ^_^
