So this means Warlock would have to rely on SG and FN to froze enemies? FN is a pretty good skill but it lacks aoe.

Btw, Sigma what's the damage of Frosty Misty? Does it mean Frost persist even after being damage by Jack Frost?

Frost last for 10 seconds after inflicting and doesn't disappear from Jack Frost dmg.

Its actually an interesting change, jack frost will become more of a DPS skill rather than mob control skill.

a nuke* rather than DPS

the current aoe dps it achieves right now is waaaay way higher

I'm quite perplexed. Is there an explanation as to why suddenly they turn warlock from the king of status effects and extremely wide aoe to just pure damage? It sounds very inefficient.

I mean I don't know anything and am just a biggot so pay me no real mind.

dead enemies cant receive status ailments ;)

tbh i care less about Jack Frost not freezing anymore than i care about how it changed on AoE and cooldown, the screenwide spam is a thing of beauty.
(and actually if it does not freeze that means all casts would deal full damage after applying the Freezing/Frost status :/)

I got some test results from Sakray.

Frost Misty :
- Skill can cast on ground.1×1 cell splashes to 11x11 cells. (level 5)
- Dmg greatly increases. Dmg per hit : (200+(100×skill level))%Matk. Number of hit : (skill level) hits.

Jack Frost :
- Unlike Frost Misty, the skill requires target to cast. So it works similar to Crimson Rock.

Comet :
- Debuff has the same effect on all skill level. So skill level 1 is enough if you need this skill to debuff enemies.

Isn't that what Wizards/Warlocks were begging at the onset of Renewal? That the class should have less status inflicting and more more more magic damage? Although it sucks that a lot of status inflicting effect will be removed, I hope the increase in damage would totally be worth it. I wish they'll retain some status inflicting effect even with low chance.

Well at the very beginning the main bottleneck for WL's magic damage was the flawed MDEF scaling. With the arrival of MDEF piercing gears from OCP boxes this issue has been largely removed, even the current magic damage prior to skill improvements is actually good enough, as long as you can achieve 80% mdef bypass on mobs and 100% mdef bypass on MVPs.

Anyone warlock here were able to clear AOGH within 40min? I get rekt at ray / 1st floor boss and 2nd floor mobs lol

You will need to play like the traditional wizard class, you will need to effectively start a precast (a safety wall) instead of rushing into tank and kill now. A warlock just does not have the repertoire of  gears with decent enough base DEF to help reduce the damage without sacrificing the damage aspect.

warlocks are really good with catherina von blood headgear you never need pots etc.

but honestly make a genetic, there are really cheap to gear now like 1-2b easily geared and they can run really fast still the best class for mvping in my opinion with genetist cart boost you have a high chance to arrive there sooner, also vending is life
