just finished guarana candy quest...
one thing i am mad about is that i can only buy one candy at a time !
if this is the case, why does NPC ask me if i want 'some' candy....he only gives me one !!!
it does not give me option to buy in bulk....

Glast Heim is a good spot for lvling thought Juno is spotlighted so Harpies could also be another good choice, Bounty Board of Harpies goes from 71-85
Thanks!!
I will try Glast Heim first.

Honestly, go to aldebaron clocktower floor 3 and mob alarms if you're confident in your VFW skills, if not practice on the clocks in floor 2 since they aren't aggressive, both are good exp at that level and have nice drops, crap loot vends high, you can save alarm needles to make an alarm mask, and they drop pure elunium (clocks) and pure oridecon (alarms)
I've leveled almost all of mages in CT, used to start at lvl 35~40 firewalling clocks but can't do that with the exp penalties now, at 77 you should be great though, clocks should die in 1 firewall/firebolt, alarms should die in 2 SG's (1 if you get good at bouncing them into your firewalls to break the ice)
If you wait till 80 to start GH you can get bounty boards for some of the monsters there (Dark Priest, Evil Druid, Wraith) as well as the earth/sky petites on the way, I don't recommend doing the full 80+ Geffen bounty board on a mage class though since gargoyles ranged attacks are a pain the arse for casters and wind ghosts have an sp damaging attack, so no es bueno for mages

Man I can't imagine leveling a mage type without VFW solo, I can see just spamming SG in party and maybe chucking a wall to break the ice if you can't drop the mob before it freezes but knowing how to vfw is a pretty core mage mechanic in my eyes, I'm still doing fine with my new wizard and bolter sage killing in CT with vfw and SG/TS/HD

What's the other options for early leveling though?
Frost Diver/Lightning Bolt? or just rush Safety Wall early since you aren't getting Firewall?
Or just hunt non cast-sensing monsters you can single-bolt to kill?
I learned to vfw in CT pre-renewal as a mage, with all of it's dead cells, odd terrain, and fast moving heavy hitting annoyance mobs, it was a bit of a learning curve, I'd even chuck fire pillars in there between the walls if I managed to get a particularly large mob, wish I had video of that now haha

Fireball, just keep your distance and get used to it. Most low lvl mobs will die within 1~2 casts. At the point the monsters start to take longer to kill you are probably a wizz/sage already and have other options like Heaven's Drive,SG, LoV, etc

Similar effect just more run and gun I guess, I'll stick with my vfw mobbing still haha, it's what I'm good at, they must have made fireball better since I stopped playing, used to just be something you put points into to get firewall, I know they nerfed SG's damage since I've been gone =.=

No Magician's Gloves for OCP 6, a little bit disappointed. Hopefully it will make it way to OCP 7, and no later than OCP 8/9.

You can see my first NCT setup here and here.
Later ones are also in that thread, or check my youtube channel for less clicking through pages. xD
Once you get a Flattering Robe it'll help immensely, even without enchants.
And yes NCT is slow, until you figure out a strategy that works well for you.
Personally I like SW strats more than FW strats, because SW also works in tight spaces.
Jack Frost and Quagmire can also help with crowd control if you have many Bells.

Yeah, but how do you get Flattering Robe? I dont see it on sale from either ragi.al or Eden 1F.

Do the daylies for Honor Tokens, then exchange 1200 Honor Tokens for a Flattering Robe.
The only "difficulty" being that the Tokens are character bound. :u

Umm thats a lot of Honor Tokens, will take weeks assuming you can play the game everyday for enough long time. Id rather wait till sufficient number of Flattering Robes are available on the market, unless obtaining Honor Tokens becomes a lot easier in recent future. May take months for over-upgraded Flattering Robes to appear in the market, but its worth waiting.
