CR is used on basically every element, not just against earth/undead :v

Yeah, the proc of Soul Drain makes a big difference here, especially in the early stage as your SP is still kinda low. Without Soul Drain you wont be able to keep up with your SP.
 

With all that being said, I actually find myself using Earth Strain a lot, usually in between two successive cast of Crimson Rock, which fills in the gap of CR's cooldown perfectly. Not sure if the same applies for everyone here, I actually find it faster and more convenient than casting reading spell books, for me selecting Crimson Rock from the list of spell books takes a significant amount of time. Also warlocks cant walk while casting spells like sorcerers, so if I am in an ET party and I cast reading spellbook, I will be far behind everyone else.

 

For this reason I only use it in emergencies like when another big bell spawns next to me when I already cast CR on a Big Bell. I heard a few ppls proposing the idea of hotkey spellbook so it is selected automatically after reading spellbook finishes casting, if this happens it would make reading spellbook a lot more enjoyable to use for me. Not saying its absolutely necessary, but would be nice to have.

of course it would benefit warlock, but is it worth getting it ?

 

as far as i am concerned, classes that benefit the most from kiel are; physical doram, and DB rk. 

 

I have never used kiel warlock (or any class in fact lol) and wants to know how it would synergise warlock

Spammable Chain Lightning Achievement Unlocked through Kiel and Other cast delay reduction gears, Bakos, Kraken, Chen Lio and the remainder of water monsters would bleed hard with it

I made a test of how skill delay reduce affects Chain Lightning some time ago:

 

 

You can achieve way more than what I used in that video even without any MVP cards (yes, I forgot a Diabolus Robe).

 

Is it worth it?

I wouldn't buy one just for WL. If you have one from another class go ahead and use it.

(Unless ofc you have way more zeny than you know what to do with.)

WL is one of the classes that can also get a pretty insane boost from Kiel. Well, just see how fast you can melt everythijg when you are on strings.

I always thought SE is the only skill that would benefit from kiel card .......i completely forgot about chain lightening as well..

 

i guess kiel is pretty useful to warlock.... especially now that we have mob scarf, i would think of putting kiel in sunnies then any other cards?

Mob Scarf is not only useful to WL, but also to other classes that profit from Kiel.

Definetly would go for Sunglasses/Glasses.

Kevin and I have been using Kiels in Warlock for WoE since 2015. SG + CL spam is way too OP.

 

With the addition of unfrozen set, having 2x kiel + amdarais d. robe + +14 TSOD + DEX FBH Boots = 91% cast delay reduction with tons of dps. No need to bother with +14 GSoD anymore xD.

 

Haven't tried in PvM yet but we used to do Bio 4 with the same combo back in the day.

Yeah, Cast Delay Reduction can be extremely useful in some situations. Nowadays a few bio 4 parties recruit well-geared WL as Chen killer, with string CL can be quite OP in these situations.

The only person in bio4 so far that i didnt managed to "outkill" everything with my WL was toxn, and that was basically coz Tao'ed RK running ahead of everybody.

PS: My WL gear is honestly very meh.

I used to, back in the day, but now with the true kk card, it's even more fun. It's easy to kill everything in there... even the pallies, just freeze them and CR them. 1 shot left and right.

I don't think it's possible to one shot them even with SFB and 2 x True KK cards. Oh wait you have FBH card, then it's a different story. Maybe easy to one shot mobs with FBH, but getting FBH surely isn't easy at all for most ppls.

it honestly isnt too hard, their HP is not that high, and getting damage for cheap just becomes by the day.

I thought he meant to one shot every mob, which includes Randel. I don't believe it's possible to one shot Randel even with SFB + 2 x True KK cards, unless you have FBH card.

if I CR frozen randels i do at the very least 150k, and my weapon is pretty -_-, so are my boots, armor and hat. And i'm just 160. With a staff like that i could easily more than double the damage, then add the other gears.

OBMH gives CR dmg and matk%. It will very easily top bio5 hat on anything that has significant mdef

that is, not using kvm
