Hello RO 2 Community,

I'm a returning player for RO 2 and honestly it's been such a long time that I forgot everything, gameplay, classes, bla bla bla...

I wish someone can tell me what class is balanced for PvP and is this game p2w ? I used to play by the name Evianna but I reckon someone still remember me lol

Welcome back.

It's hard to answer your first question because to be perfectly realistic, PvP hasn't been seriously balanced ever and the very nature of PvP works on abusing highly imbalanced skills and stats. So maybe you mean to use a different word, because a balanced class is generally an ineffective PvP class. Perhaps you want to say strongest, weakest, most versatile, most useful etc. to describe what you are looking for.

In terms of P2W, I honestly don't think so. When I think of P2W I think that investing a lot of money nets you an insurmountable advantage that is inaccessible to F2P players. RO2's "P2W" comes from the severe level of randomness that can go into perfecting end-game gears, and that's where you might be held hostage for your money. You can still access a lot of the necessary stuff if you put in the time to farm for it, so unless you're short on time, you're rarely feeling disadvantaged. A lot of the broken stuff are systemic, rather than item based, so money doesn't affect it. The marginal advantage that perfect items get you is rather minimal, from a stats point of view, but for some people, it's more fun to not look at those numbers.

I hope this helps, and although I'm not nearly as proficient in the PVP scene, this generalization should form a good enough picture for you.

Thank you Arbalist for your reply :thx:

I remember I used to play as mage or sorcerer or something that have circlish heal skill when I cast it that enable me to sustain boss damage while keep dpsing the boss, and I remember such skill being nerfed because it's too unfair in PvP I guess....uhhh nvm that but I wanna know does the community still enjoyable for new player to play ? or is the game full of high lv AFK player ? I remember the dungeon or instance require you to group up and cannot be solo.

This is the best time to comeback! Contents are soon to be streamlined, with new quests being added and a lot of other fun-tastic news!! :p_omg: As for now, the end game is enjoyable both for PvE and PvP players: Jawaii Daily Quests, Wonderland Dungeon, Brooch-Dayr Desert Quests for Runes,Weekly In-Game events such as Hide & Seek, Monthly In-Game events such as Happy Hour Box! There are so many things to do that I probably forgot some!  :p_swt:   :p_laugh:
