Hi everyone!

Is Ragnarok Online still grabbing attention to anyone, enough to have lots of views in a YouTube channel?

Where is the best place to disclose my videos?

What kind of video you would like to see about Ragnarok?

I wanted to see some futurama episodes of iRO. MVP vids are meh nowadays since you can easily kill them even solo unlike in classic where you have a party and do teamwork against bee vr and ifrit.

If you want high views on PvM and gear updates on YouTube, then you should play kRO because that's where new updates are originally released. By the time the updates get to iRO, they are already ancients = no you won't get many views. Also PvM/MvP has become very easy. You can still show your awesomeness but then you are not the only one. You will most likely get views only if you can come up with something new.

If you want high views on PvP/WoE, first thing is to find a healthy WoE. Maybe you should play Thai RO in this case and WoE there seems very healthy and castles are filled with players, just like in its glory days.

if your purely after views....

Any instance run- thousands of views over time
Any PVM- thousands of views over time
PvP tournament held by me- 1-2 thousand views average
WoE video used in recruitment threads- about a thousand views over time
PvP videos- hundreds of views
WoE videos- hundred to hundreds of views, honestly depends on how many people WoEd

Above is for iro

Most of my PvM videos have about 2-10k views. My highest PvM video has 200k+ views. My PvP videos have about 2k views and my WoE videos have about 1k views.

Most of my PvM videos have about 2-10k views. My highest PvM video has 200k+ views. My PvP videos have about 2k views and my WoE videos have about 1k views.

This is my experience as well.  PvM is infinitely more popular than PvP and if you are doing something actually impressive in PvM you can get up to 200k views (over a year or so).

The audience is there for sure. But if you are trying to make money, you won't. The audience potential is too low, especially since 80% of the RO population watch - well, lets call them *context clues*.

Maybe if you made an RO channel about RO clicker, RO Journey, RO Mobile, RO1 and RO2, you could build a big enough community. There is very little support from the staff to do so, and be prepared for video takedown requests left and right because pretty much anyone can put a copyright claim on your content.

As far as I know Munbalance is the only person making regular RO videos. But I am not sure if we can talk about that here.

Tutorial videos do quite well as does anything that is a recording of something that was streamed live.

People love hearing rage firsthand.

personally I hate woe videos, more hate if the player using transformation like Poring scroll,

too small and you have no idea what is happening in the vid, except they edit the ONLY important parts of the video, like zooming / slow mo when rekt-ing a person / people,

or making pvm video but taking too long,

Yeah, you're probably not going to make any money from making RO videos, especially since advertisers are slowly moving away from Youtube.
Twitch is the way to go if you can pick up an audience. I don't know of any successful Twitch streamers on iRO though.

My most viewed videos are:

Which the reasoning speaks for itself, I was playing on kRO before renewal plus people loved the music on this one.

Then the other 2 GX skill videos

Then this one

For some strange reason this one gets a lot of hits:

the 5v5 pvp video

And then my most viewed WoE video:

I find a lot of it has to do with how much it's shared, when it's put out etc. I pace my video output now as the latest videos tend to get ~300-400 hits in the first view days.  PVM videos get more views over time, WoE videos get more hits in the first few days.

For example here's one I put out 3 days ago but didn't publicize yet

Private servers players probably do that. I believe most of my WoE views come from private servers. iRO WoE population is too low to rely on views. You can get as low as 50 views or less or equal to the number of people in that WoE. I always keep my rule of 300 views. If my latest official WoE video doesnt reach 300 views, I wont make a new video. Not sure if my last WoE should be counted as official because it is the alt guild that we fought against.

On topic,

This WoE video is 3 weeks old. Its uploaded on 31st March 2017 and is 16 minutes long. If you skip around the video, you can see that their WoE seems healthy and crowded. That's why it can get views. After all, people who dont WoE dont watch WoE videos and people who dont PvM dont watch PvM videos.

Most of the views we get on rather popular videos are from ppl on other servers :v

Like recently bRO got the Spirit King Rings there, and suddenly my videos demonstrating them doubled in views in few hours.

I would love to see adventures in Iro. Idk, like instances, highlights in parties... But yeah, be in a party and conquer the Iro world ! I would definitely watch your videos !

Also, what about lore videos? You should make some to talk about RO lore and why the RO world is what it is.
