I join an ET group the other day and we have a warlock with us. Since our main tanker sometimes lack the proper gear setup the warlock went and become the tanker. I was actually really surprise this works as well as it did. That warlock casted white imprison on himself without fail until the mvp died. We did this all the way to the top.

 

So i was curious and tested WI on myself, and the result was less than anticipated. That's because i tried casting on myself for a full 5minute and not one WI was successfully casted on my char. Nothing. Just nothing not even a reaction or skill fail in chat log. It only works when i casted on mob, but whenever i tried casting on my char. It does nothing... what am i doing wrong? Is there something that i lack? bg? yg? rg?

 

That warlock casted on himself white imprison for the entire of fallen bishop 5m hp and then again the 6m ifrit. How does he do it??

Okey. Will test this right away. And holy , why didnt i think of that ......

 

Edit: Nope no dice. Still cant cast on myself. I only tested for 3minutes though. Ill go try casting for 5-10min see if it works...

It should work.

One more method: make a party and cast it on your character name in the party list.

This works. Seems i cannot cast on my char image but only in party name. Weird stuff going on here. Or is this intended?

Using /ns however has absolutely no effect for me. '_'

What? White imprison works 100% on self. I always use it to get rid of burning status in woe. Mine is only lv1 and it works every time i use it on myself.

It might be that youre clicking the monsters by accident, those definitely have a chance of failure

You can buff party members through their name in the party list?!? How long has this veen a thing?
