Of course quests are hard when all the old quests haven't been updated to utilize the quest log. Not to mention the NPCs are super vague about where to go next.
That guy being shocked about the Poring death animation has never known the joy of popping bubbles. How sad.

This doesn't make any sense. Originally people started out in the world of RO, then they introduced Training Grounds, then they got rid of Training Grounds to get people to start out in the world again, only to bring back the Training Grounds again. This especially doesn't make sense when Doram players are starting out in the world instead of a blocked off area, so why the change for Human players?
Because hoomans needs to be trained before they are released to the world.
I think TG is a lot better than Criatura. The TG quest is straightforward while Criatura is a little bit complicated. Complicated in a sense that in a long run you won't be doing some quest to progress or you don't need to do it to advance to the next. The good side of them both is it's not forced unlike Doram on a beginners perspective.
No it was an HQ update,
Oh, alright.

The Doram starting area is designed similarly to Training Grounds in that the NPCs and the area itself corrals players into a particular path. Compared to Criatura Academy which actually does give you the feeling of being free to go wherever you want once you get off the ship. The problem newbies seem to have with the Criatura/New Izlude layout compared to Training Grounds/Lasagna is that it's TOO open world. People don't come into RO with the RPG mentality anymore and need to be directed around, so the developers can't expect them to go around talking to every NPC to find information. That's the only complication Criatura has, otherwise I think it's a better design than Training Grounds/Lasagna if you're going for an open world feeling.

I'm all for an improved UI. Features aren't advertised very well with the current design and there's no UI tutorial to tell players all about it.

If the quest system could be integrated with that new navigation thing, it'd be almost like modern MMO/RPG's.

Sorry, my bad. I call Criatura as Training Ground.
Anyway, they change it. Human now starts in Sunken Ship. They Change the Criatura building too (inside, ground floor).
After finishing the whole quest I got job level 10 Novice and Job level 4 Merchant lol.

So, instead of sailing to Izlude, we crashed near Alberta?
Also doesn't that change the whole lore concerning Drake and his pirates? Or are we now part of that lore?
