My new homunculus is not gaining loyalty quickly.  I read in past events it was only existing homunculi that would be affected.  Don't know much about the event, but does this mean I messed up and have to do loyalty all over again?

Loyalty event means that all existing Homun's loyalty points will be set 1 feeding away from "loyal" during maint.

So all you have to do is wait for next maint, since it will be repeated then.
