1) How does this affect CC or AB damage?

 

2) What are the best enchants for CC and AB respectively?

CC already bypass def in the first place. Best enchant perhaps the dex one.

For AB though

Isnt flattery robe better since it gives + MATK 150 assuming you are not fighting human, demon, undead?

Also STR enchants (STR, ATK%) seem better than DEX enchants (DEX, long range attack%) considering AB damage output formula?

Flattering would improve AB a bit. The def ignore is useless on both AB and CC pretty much.

Dex enchant is better for AB and CC.

Str enchant is better for Fire Expansion.

Also, Endure might be more helpful than Improve Concentration.

This Endure (level 1?) has very short CD. It's lasting time is short as well, but it's very useful on pinches. Saves on Anodynes.

Yes. Flattery with DEX runes, though INT runes are not bad, really. They boost both AB and CC damage (because of the INT bonus), but DEX is better.

I feel DEX3 STR3, would be better for gene becoz gene already use around 39% ranged multiplier with dr FAW. Have to check it when I get my robes. And ya I prefer flattery more over abusive free anodyne and the bonus matk.

Improve concentration buffs gene a lot more than endure. On top of that, Acid bomb is now no longer the meta after Cylinder's introduction

Flattering Still beats it for gene.

STR runes for fire expansion, DEX for acid bomb/CC.

There's almost no use in the magic attack potion for gene's unless u card it with a pasana card for ifrit.

The dex buff is all that's needed to achieve instacast even under slow cast.

i dont get your point - after the release of Cylinder instacast is obsolete for genes and because cc and ab ignores def you wont benefit from abusive at all, or am i mistaken? Seems like Flattery atleast gives you some boost in ab dmg

Yeah it's obsolete for most floors to CC. But if you're affected by slow cast, your day will be ruined. 

 

Flattery's boost in bomb dmg for myself is meh, since I run through about 10-15 bombs per Endless Tower run, just on ifrit.

(Even so I'm using the engineer's armor)

Your cast wont be bad even with slow cast simply because you still take dex and int on the build, and can make use of foods/buffs. Dex still scales your faw bonus and menblat bonus, and that outdamages the alternatives for no dex builds.

sold my last one 2 months ago for 4b.

My 2nd one c/o is 5b zeny but I'm constantly getting 4b offers and a few offers of 5b in gears and such..
