Halu! I'm not sure if it'll be helpful but I'll share my hindsight sage experience.
My hindsight sage set up was built around hindsight and autocast from CD in mouth. A little equip dependent especially on the CD but if you can afford it, it can be really useful. I also did not use a soul linker, but sometimes I would dual a healer if i was too broke to spam pots, and of course for the buffs.
For the stats, hindsight will proc even if your attacks miss, so you don't need lots of dex. I think i had around 20-30 dex as a sage (could be less!). I got around 90 agi, just enough for upgraded HBP bonus (and used awakes for better ASPD). A decent amount of int which is around 80 and the rest to vit. Once I got the 30 dex and some decent int enough to kill mobs, I just saved stat points until I got to sage and got hindsight. Then started pumping agi.
I chose Vit because CD in mouth procs better when you are mobbed as I've observed. This requires you to be tanky to be more effective. HP increase is also useful for this purpose. Sometimes I use HP% or HP adding gear (often armor) for better tankiness. Plus, given that you have high int, the series of bolts even tho they are low level bolts could still deal good damage to multiple enemies hitting you simultaneously.
Some other good equips, aside from those mentioned, are:
Ledger of Death. 2 slots and a book so good with study skill, also increases ASPD with better refines. Pretty cool screenwide curse effect on enemies plus atk damage or something.
Snake Head (IDK if it's available in Chaos) which allows Double Attack Lv. 5. Procs pretty decently at times, good for hindsight.
Advance ROR-ROFL set (if you can afford it, it can be used by non-trans). More autoattack skills. A bit expensive, but if you have the ROR-ROFL you can farm crystals to make them advanced ones; takes time tho.
Skill recommendations
For hindsight I often chose fireball skill instead of bolt skills (unless fire is useless against the mob I'm up against). Since fireball is a short range AOE (sort of) and my strategy is to get mobbed and deal autocast damage, then it's much more efficient.
