Hello there, I recently just started playing ragnarok online again after 10 years, was wondering if I should farm with a jur with 3x skeleton card or should I go dual dagger?
I played RO back in the days during 2003 and only knew that the 3x skeleton card and jur was the way to go. However for dual daggers, I'm not really sure which ones are good.

Yeah, I'm using them. but it's kind of hard to level with just them alone.

For Assassin and SinX, Dual Dagger lvling is faster than katar (IMHO) unless you're going aoe. For GX, Katar is better since we have rolling cutter.

 

End Game : DD -> uberly super rich, Katar - Decent - Moderately Rich.

Thanatos Katar all the way (after 120). 

 

Until then, just use whatever -- eden will do, or farm a crimson one from injustices (good xp for when you're a Sin-X anyway). 

 

As an assassin you can use grimtooth or magnum break, then as a sin-x can switch over to meteor assault. If you can afford to spam EDP, magnum break will do the trick too.

GX is the among the best classes for the poor, they make zeny real fast and easy.

You can run so much stuff with low end gears it's amazing. :v

for low budget, you can already perform better than most classes with expensive gears, especially in term of making zeny and leveling. 

however if you want to step up your game, then you need to visit that moderately rich and super rich area.

truth hurts, but if you really want the full potential of a GX, you need to wear ultra expensive gears which are hard to make and are also hard to sell..

indeed haha for all damage dealers, but for AB, linkers or Mins and Gyps or other support jobs, they can play and support reasonably without needing too much expensive gears..

Cause no end game gx are poor.  With poor gears they get to farm instances like a mad man. So eventually they won't be poor.

 

Even at lvl 100, they can earn 3-4m per hour (before deducting pot cost, IF any) at nogg just by greeding. I get about 1-1.5m every turn in which takes about 15 mins.

 

If you tell me there's a poor GX at end game, I'll be.... that person is definitely paying the class wrong.

For Thief/ASS use DDagger ALWAYS go for the jugular fast-KILL boost ur level. If U are eccentric enuf use KATAR then increase ur Dex for more Acc. Blow the Critter with ASPD maybe BOOMtown will make it farm ur way to 160.

I also farm instances like a mad man   but I started small as well not having end game gears and little GX knowledge.
I could say that I'm fully sustainable with 5 instance ready GXes (two 175s, one 172, one 165, and one 141) but I still want more

I have a question on this topic too, didn't want to make a new thread for it.
I'm new too, Assasin lvl 82, obviously poor, i'm currently using dagger to get the double attack but i see above that dagger is more expensive. Should i switch to Katar once I do rebirth? I don't like the idea of loosing the double attack tho, and i will probably level up a ME priest, the assasin is just to get zeny for gear.

IMO, if you still don't want to lose the DA effect, you can make a DA (Semi-Crit?) Katar SinX (through Snake Head hat?) though I haven't really tried this build yet. I usually go to the Crit Lock SinX route...

and whats crit "lock"?

By crit lock do you mean hit lock? I forgot if criting in melee had any benefit besides like a alternate hit rate but for ranged its pretty big stopping targets from getting close to you.
